To talk about Olympics in Spain, as far as the candle is concerned, is to talk about the Dortheast Family. It is to speak of the Canarian brothers who have achieved nothing less than three Olympic gold medals: Louis two and Josele one. His career within the candle, began and projected at the Royal Nautical Club of Gran Canaria, the emblematic nautical club of the Canary Islands.

Natural of Las Palmas (March 7, 1961). Luis Doresta we see in this photograph with Roberto Molina as 470 gold medals in Los Angeles 84, as well as another gold he achieved in Barcelona 92 with Domingo Manrique in Flying Dutchman. He won the World Cup in 1985 and Selling in 1995. In the 470 European it was silver in 1987. In his young years he became the world's number one in the Optimist Class.

The first attempt to enroll in the vast family curriculum came from Luis Doreeste, who, when he competed in the Optimist Class, won the Spanish championship, after that of Europe and finally that of the World. Luis gets the gold with Roberto Molina in the complicated class 470 in Los Angeles 84, and already in Barcelona in 92 he does it as a couple to Domingo Manrique in the Flying Dutchmann class.

In 1982 Josele reached the European Star Campoenato sailing with Toño Gorostegui and the following year the World,..., a feat that was repeated in 1983. These awards are among the brightest of the Spanish candle in its history. What they achieve in the Star Class the Tin Gorostegui-Josele Doreto tandem, causes them to be considered a living legend of the European candle by example in the US.
