With the winter coming to an end and the summer season of races in the Mediterranean approaching, the fleet of superyachts that will take part, from June 29 to July 2, in the Superyacht Cup Palma, is also increasing.
As usual, veteran participants and test debuts will see their faces in the always attractive waters of the Bay of Palma, attracted by the well-deserved reputation of the test, which promises emotion and entertainment both inside and outside the water.
The most recent inscriptions include the 32-meter high-performance boat Kiboko Three, a Farr design whose owner already knows the Mallorcan test after having competed on it on board Kiboko Two in 2015 and 2016.
The 27-meter classic Savannah, designed by David Pedrick, as well as the 46-meter high-performance cruise Ganesha, which were last seen in the test in 2011 and 2021, respectively, will not be missed.
The elegant Huckleberry, a 40-metre queche, who, in his last appearance at the SYC in 2019, was also confirmed in attendance with the new North Sails Boat of the Day award.
The organizers of the Superyacht Cup Palma are confident to have a powerful fleet of at least 15 boats, including of course the trio of Class J units - Topaz, Ranger and Velshed- that will compete with a personalized tour and an additional day of testing, on Wednesday, June 29.
The Superyacht Cup Palma 2022 will start with the registration of participants and the briefing of captains, to which will follow the welcome cocktail presented by Destination New Zealand and DYT Yacht Transport, on Wednesday, June 29. Then they will come from three days of intense races that will end on Saturday, July 2.
