Born 17: Champions to the end
The Medal Race of the Nacra 17 class was presented as a battle for the second position, after the Italians Ruggero Tita and Caterina Banti confirmed their title in the previous day. The young British Michael Beckett is the new champion ofILCA 7after imposing on the bay of Palma some of the class's references, including the current Tokyo Olympic champion, the Australian Matt Wearn, who finished second after an excellent progression from a disappointing first day. The world champion 2020, the German Philipp Buhl, closed the podium.

2022-04-09: Princess Sofia Mallorca: four Spanish ships with victory options

The Catalans Jordi Xammar and Nora Brugman face the latest assault as solid leaders of 470 Mixed and maximum candidates for the title among the Spanish squadron. Gisela Polido is seventh of Formula Kite Women and will fight for a post in the final
The penultimate day of competition of the 51 Princess Sofia Mallorca completed the selection of the teams that will compete for the title, reducing the number of candidates in all classes. The 49erFX and Nacra 17 mathematically already have champions. Tomorrow they will compete in the format of Medal Race all but the iQFOiL and Formula Kite, which will release a new system that will be resolved in a final between the three (for iQFOiL) and the four (in Formula Kite) best in each category.
470 Mixed: Xammar / Brugman, best Spanish

It would be enough for them to sign an eighth to proclaim themselves as champions.
49er and 49erFX: Button and Trittel, with options
Diego Botín and Florian Trittel access the Medal Race from the fourth position of the class49er. The Catalan Cantabrian couple signed the most discreet day of the week (14 + 23 + 11), facing the final day with seven points of disadvantage against the third and 29 against the French Erwan Fischer and Clément Pequin, the leaders of the provisional.

Mathematically, none of its rivals can exceed their score and tomorrow they will raise the champion trophy. The Galician Patricia Suárez and the Canaria María Cantero were left out of the Medal Race (tenth sextas) after having to retire in the last manga of the day by a perch at the exit.
iQFOiL: Lamadrid, direct to the semifinal
The iQFOiL competition format is peculiar. From that semi-final two ships will come out that will compete with the current leader: the British Andrew Brown iniQFOiL Menand the French Hélène Noesmoen iniQFOiL Women.
