In addition to the DAO, this global sponsorship will allow NEAR to take advantage of SailGP events around the world to train its community of developers and technicians on NEAR capabilities

SailGP, one of the most growing sports nautical franchises, and NEAR, a leading block-chain development platform, announce a sponsorship agreement for the coming years.

SailGP will explore the sale of a new equipment to a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) launched in the NEAR Protocol, an activation platform with commitment to the community, pioneer in professional sports. This unpublished agreement will allow fans and cryptomoneda enthusiasts to access their favorite teams, athletes and events in a totally innovative way.

Members of the DAO community will be able to select athletes, manage the equipment and participate in their marketing and operations strategy. Under the structure of the current SailGP Team Participation Agreement, the DAO team could join SailGP in the fourth season, in 2023, subject to compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

A DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is a community-owned organization whose financial transactions and rules of action are stored in lockchain. While the companies were historically vertically managed, the OAD is managed by the Community. Decisions are determined by proposals and votes which guarantee its members the ability to directly influence the direction of the ODS.
