The Guadalimar Trophy of Light Sailing ended in Las Arenas

On the final day there was wind from the south of 10-12 knots until 24. They sailed about 80 regatists on an appointment that served as a good preparation for the great tests of the season.
Anibal Herrero and Asensio Martínez Asúa in the Snipe class; Francisco Silvela and Otilia Mesa in the Youth Snipe; Igor Atxiaga and Pablo Zerón in the 420 class; Covadonga García-Santamarina and Aitana Atela in FEVA; Ane Lejarraga in ILCA 4; Gabriel Oraá in ILCA 6; Bruno-varri in Optimist 1; and Ignacio Buján in Optimist 2 were the winners in the water of the Abra del Trofeo Guadalimar, which was not able for two years after the pandemic.
Aníbal Herrero and Asensio Martínez Asúa were imposed in the Snipe class after reassembling in the second day the advantage of Tomás Trueba and Matheus Franco with their Fhimasa Lastrín. Terceros were Tomás Alonso- Allende and Carlos Morata with the Piolin. Francisco Silvela and Otilia Mesa (Astorias- Canarias) won in Youth Snipe, with the Guipuzcoans Javier Amondarain and Matxin Jiménez in second position and Peru Abásolo and Martin Bueno third.
Igor Atxiaga and Pablo Zerón were the best in the 420 class, with the sisters Daniela and Paula Voss Diaz- Blanco in second place. Covadonga García-Santamarina and Aitana Atela overtook Nacho Murcia in FEVA in Ivan Sales. Ane Lejarraga, with four first positions and one second, took the Guadalimar Trophy in ILCA 4 and Gabriel Oraá, with full of triumphs, noted the class ILCA 6, without choice for Gaspar Gallinger and Aitor Carton, who completed the podium. Bruno Miguvarri won in Optimist 1 with a point of advantage over Iñigo Arechavala, with Martin Verástegui third. Finally, Ignacio Buján replaced Eki Azurmendi in the lead of Optimist 2.
2022-03-23: After two absent seasons the Guadalimar Trophy returns to the Abra
It has been two season without the Guadalimar Trophy in the waters of the Abra... the pandemic prevented its celebration in the years 2020 and 2021 and this year can be celebrated if weather conditions allow (26 and 27 March).
About 50 boats and 70 participants of the Optimist classes, 420, Snipe, FEVA and ILCA will sail in the Vizcaina waters of the Abra... will take part in the six planned tours, three of them on Saturday day 26 and three others on Sunday 27 (12 and 11 hours, respectively).
The last Guadalimar Trophy was decided in the Abra in 2019 after five final victory tours of Jaime Hernando and Telma Aja in the FEVA class, César Gutiérrez in the Laser class 4.7, Tomás Trueba in Laser Radial, Juan Olábarri and Miguel Antona in the 420 class, Gabriel Oraá in the Optimist class A and Álvaro Bouza in Optimist B.
