50 participants from 9 autonomous communities and representatives of Germany, Croatia, France and Japan have met in the race, which has been held from 16 to 20 March, organized by the Santa Pola Nautical Club

The Galician Tomás Vieito (CN Rodeira) has been proclaimed the absolute male champion of Spain, in the category Sub 21 the ballet Bernat Tomás (CN Arenal) has been the winner. In the female category, the Balear Andrea Torres (CN Arenal) has been the new Spanish Champion in both absolute category and Sub 21. In youth category the victory has been for Ilya Stepanov (RCN Torrevieja).

The award has taken place at the Santa Pola Nautical Club with the presence of local windsurfer Ivan Pastor, 4 times Olympic in RS: X, and current director of the Windsurf Tecnification Center; as well as Julio Miguel Baeza, Sports Council of Santa Pola; Carlos Torrado, President FVCV; Pascual Orts, President of the CN Santa Pola; and Javier Clement, director of the race.

The City Council of Santa Pola, the Municipality of Alicante, and the Higher Council of Sports participate as institutional partners, as well as RFEV, FVCV, Hotel Gran Playa, 226ers, BuenaProa Nautical School, AleHop, Sailing Cuak, SportLink Tarifa, Carrefour, Saint James, Marsport and Global Sail Solutions.

2022-03-17: The Sicantine port of Santa Pola hosts the National of iQFoil

the Olympic Big Angel, Nicole Van Der Velden and White Manchón

The Spanish Championship 2022 for the Iqfoil Abs Class and sub-21, Regata International Cup Santa Pola for the iQFOIL juvenile classes (sub-19) and junior (sub-17), will be held in the waters of Santa Pola (Alicante), between 16 and 20 March 2022, both inclusive.

The race is organized by the Club Náutico Santa Pola, by delegation of the Royal Spanish Vela Federation, in collaboration with the Federation of Vela of the Valencia Community and the Spanish Association of the International Class iQFOIL.

It will be on Thursday morning, from 11: 00 in the morning, the beginning of the qualifying tests, with a total of 20 scheduled tests. Same schedule for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

To highlight the participation of the current winners of the International Games Andalucia Regatas, the canary Angel Granda and the cantabra Nicole Van Der Velden with the significant decrease of the Andalusian Pilar Lamadrid, current champion of the Spanish Cup by disease.

This sports event is part of the commemorative events for the 50th anniversary of the Saintly Polish Entity, as well as with the intention of promoting the Iván Pastor Center of Windsurfing that is located in the Nautical Santa Pola.
