The last two sleeves of the Snipe Spring Trophy were held on Saturday in San Lorenzo Bay. José Luis de la Rubia with Ignacio López were the winners in the two contested sleeves and end up in the second position of the classification table. In class III the Pria, by Hernán Javier de Frades was the fastest in Cruise III, and he obtained his first win in the test. The second position was obtained by Alberto Tablón, the winner of five of the six sleeves. The third square was taken by the Leonidas, by Juan Manuel Quevedo, the third, in the class general.

2022-05-09: Light and Heavy Sailing in the Spring Trophy of Gijon hand of the Astur

During the weekend, the RCAR Spring Sailing Trophy tests were held in the waters of Gijón Bay. Saturday was the turn for the Light Sails and Sunday they sailed the Cruises.

The Bullbox, by Luis Noguera in Cruise I, the Jarr, by Luis Llano in Cruise II and the Espumeru, by Alberto Tablón in Cruise II winners of the fifth test of the Spring Trophy of the Real Club Astur de Regatas.

In Vela Ligera, Guillermo Marqués and Jorge Fernández won in Snipe, made their own, Fernando Alonso in ILCA 6, Julio Riba in ILCA 4 and Álvaro Alonso in Optimist.

The Snipe class was led by the couple formed by Guillermo Marqués and Jorge Fernández who with a first and in the absence of a day they are established in the first square of the general classification. Finally, in the Optimist class he dominated Alvaro Alonso. Marta Simal and Aida Marqués distributed a second and third square in the two contested sleeves.

On Sunday, the fifth manga was held for the cruises, where the Bullbox, by Luis Noguera, was again the fastest in the fleet, gathering his third victory in the Trophy and is the class leader. In the absence of the last manga in Cruciero II, the Jarr, by Luis Llano, won his second victory and is placed only one point from the class leader, the University of Oviedo- Grupo Isastur second in the test. The Andantino de Raúl Menéndez finished third, the same position he occupies in the general.

The Espumeru, by Alberto Tablón with 5 wins in his locker is the winner of class III, followed by the Pría, Hernán Javier del Frade and Juan Manuel Quevedo's Leonidas.

2022-04-18: Francisco Silvela - Sara García in the Spring of Snipe in Gijón

José Palacio and Alberto Suárez first leaders of the Snipe Spring Trophy of the Real Club Astur de Regatas. Guillermo Marqués and Jorge Fernández occupy the second square followed by the couple of José Luis de la Rubia and Ignacio Buitrago.

On Saturday the Snipe Spring Trophy began in Gijón Bay, a competition that takes place over six days during the months of March, April and May. The two sleeves were held, on a very unstable day, the first sleeve was left behind with a delay of about an hour due to a lack of wind. In the second manga the wind rolled 40 degrees to the East and therefore the field of races had to be changed. In the end the wind would reach 12 knots of intensity.

The second position was obtained by another of the couples faithful to the appointment, Guillermo Marqués and Jorge Fernández, who occupy the second place in the general place after a third and a second place.

On Saturday at the edge of the 12: 30 in the morning, the Snipe fleet will be in charge of opening the Spring Trophy... the two-sleeved dispute is planned under a trapeze course, or a cane depending on the intensity of the wind with a duration of approximately 50 minutes per sleeve.

The Spring Trophy is a long-run competition, where regularity plays a decisive role in taking over... in the last edition, José Palacio and Alberto Suarez after 8 contested sleeves were the winners, followed by José Luis de la Rubia and Luis Ford closed the honorary posts, Guillermo Marqués and Jorge Fernández.
