The regatta tribute to Román Bono, who returned to the calendar after a few years of fallow because of the pandemic, by the hand of the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante... was celebrated this weekend with many ships online departure... and an excellent level of competition.
The first test of the competition was completed in just over two hours by winning the Tanit IV Medilevel... the pliers, when completing the test in 1 hour and 56 minutes became the winner of the test. More quickly in completing the tour were e Plis-Play de Vicente García and the Spaniard de Juan Rodríguez, although after compensating the times they remained second and third respectively.
As for the Cruise Promotion, the fastest crew was the Grand Soleil 45 of Román Bono, who on board Piropo became second on Saturday's provisional. Following this, he completed the course of the Zinic of Luís Cardona, only 2 minutes later, leaving first of the provisional. Cardona was followed by the Boreas of Tomás Mª Dacal, who was placed third of the test.

The event concluded with the award of trophies that had the presence of Román Bono Torres and Román Bono Esteve, son and grandson of D. Román Bono, as well as the head of the MOE headquarters group, Lieutenant Colonel Alejandro Martínez Natarino. The President, Miguel López, accompanied by Vice President Guerras and Comodoro Diaz, also represented the RCRA.
During the Sunday day, with a less intense wind and a less bravo sea, the crews completed the test that would define the medallion. In this test, the Tanit IV of María José Vila, with Nacho Campos as the patron, was revalidated as a trophy puppet, leaving behind the Spaniard of Juan Rodriguez and the Dax of Sergio Durá, who firmly defended their high competitive level.
The promotion completed 6 more miles, revalidating the positions of the Saturday provisional. With this the newly released Ziniz de Cardona was raised with the gold of the test, followed 2 points by the Piropo de Román Bono and the Boreas de Tomás Mª Dacal.
