The beginning of the Salt Route at two months' notice
The thirty-fourth edition of The Salt Route is ready to sail. In the absence of two months of its departure, the most emblematic sailing boats and the assiduous crews of the Mediterranean High Navigation are already ready to cover from 14 to 16 April the 140 nautical miles of the journey that join the Club Maritim of Port Ginesta and the Real Club Nautico of Denia, with the island of Ibiza, two fleets with different exits that set both towards Club Níutic Sant Antoni of Portmany.
The attraction to reach the island of Ibiza, after a night navigation, along the Mediterranean horizon, accompanied by the Full Moon of Holy Week, is a nautical attraction, which is renewed year after year, with hundreds of sailboats, to reach the incomparable Iberian coast.
The Sal Route is a race declared Island Tourist Interest Event by the Consell d'Eivissa, which makes it one of the island's first-class sports tourist events, which distinguishes it as a sports scene from the sailing.
After the postponements in the previous two years and its celebration last year in May, due to the Covit-19 pandemic, this High Regatta, the most emblematic of the Western Mediterranean, develops again on its usual dates, leaving again The Salt Route, on Holy Thursday, where the fleets of the North Mediterranean will meet, which will concentrate in Port Ginesta, and the Spanish Levant, which will leave Denia.
The tours of La Sal 2022 will have a minimum distance of approximately 140 nautical miles for the Barcelona version, which has exit from Port Ginesta, heading directly to Sant Antoni de Portmany, Ibiza. The Denia Version, which part of the port of Denia to Sant Antoni of Portmany, is about 120 nautical miles, surrounding Ibiza in a sense contrary to the clockwise needles, leaving the islands of Formentera, Tagomago and Ibiza by port. Also from Denia will be given the release of the Mini Sal version, with a minimum distance of approximately 55 nautical miles, especially designed for crews who want to start in High Regatas, with departure from Denia and direct arrival to Sant Antoni de Portmany.
