Vanguard delivers five semi-rigid to the Gendarmerie Royale of Morocco
The shipyard has handed over to the Moroccan Ministry of the Interior a fleet of semi-rigid TX-10.0 meters of length with a double-motorized outboard of 350 cv and made to measure for border control.
The delivery of the five ships is the result of an agreement promoted by the International Foundation and for Ibero-America of Administration and Public Policy, FIIAPP. Through the Trust Fund for Africa, FIIAPP signed with the European Commission a contract for the project "Support for integrated border management and migration in Morocco," which aims to "contribute to the mitigation of vulnerabilities linked to and combating irregular migration through the strengthening of operational and institutional capacities for border monitoring." Vanguard responded to the competition by proposing a fleet of semi-rigid fully custom-made for surveillance work on the southern border of Europe. After completing the manufacturing and assembly process, they have already arrived at their destination ports.
The five ships belong to the TX offshore series of Vanguard, semi-rigid of a deep V military design helmet made specifically for navigation in open waters. In its off-board motor variant, the TX range includes versions with length from 5.40 to 12 meters. In order to develop the model requested by the Gendarmerie Royale, the Vanguard TX-10.0 was used as a base, 10 meters long by 3.08 meters long, with a large interior capacity (11.45 square meters of cover) and extraordinary navigation performance in hard sea conditions.
To meet the customer's specifications, solid closed cell foam floats were manufactured in order to minimize maintenance and offer extraordinary resistance to external attacks, keeping the boat operational at all times. Both helmet and float, stainless steel structure, seats and accessories were made in black.
At the mechanical level, the new Vanguard TX-10.0 of the Gendarmerie Royale incorporate two 350 cv Suzuki engines and offer a total power of 700 cv. Associated with a double helix system, these propellants allow the semi-rigid to reach 55 knots of maximum speed. These 500-litre fuel tanks under cover ensure considerable autonomy.
The interior configuration consists of six seats with impact mitigation for the crew and two for the command post. The accessories arranged on deck are easily removable, which extends the versatility of the vessels according to the needs of use. The navigation equipment includes radar, probe, GPS location system and VHF radio with two 16-inch touch screens, complemented by specific customer-defined communication equipment. The safety endowment consists of radiobaliza and life raft for 10 people.
The TX-10.0 of the Gendarmerie Royale confirm Vanguard's ability to design, manufacture and deliver fully personalized semi-rigid ships in the short term for the most demanding projects with the guarantee of a team with four decades of experience in the sector.
All vessels of the international group Vanguard Marine are manufactured according to the quality control system ISO 9001: 2015 certified by LRQA. Vanguard vessels and all their components are manufactured in the European Union. The Vanguard Marine team has been designing and manufacturing semi-rigid since 1984.
