The systems equipped by Hodor and Wayfinder demonstrate the ability of Ferri Industries to design, manufacture and install custom devices for the most demanding projects

The megayates sector presents challenges that test the capacity of the shipyards and their engineering equipment. The development of custom devices and systems requires knowledge, skill, flexibility and quality standards only available to the best specialists. Ferri Industries provides more than 50 years of experience equipping all types of ships with its Ferri matrix, and electronics and control with Ferri Systems, to which it adds a century of trajectory from its division of Carral Workshops. These credentials support the ability of the Galician group to deal with all types of projects and have been used to equip two world megayate fleet references: Hodor and Wayfinder.

The Hodor is a spectacular 66-meter long catamaran built by Armon Shipyards as an auxiliary to the 87-meter Lonian megayate. A very specific project that required very specific solutions. Within the extensive endowment developed by Ferri stands a LARS for the installation and rental of a submarine and rescue boat consisting of two telescopic arms that can operate on both sides of the ship extending up to 4.5 meters, with an individual load capacity of five tons and together of nine.

Ferri also provided a hydraulic drive lift in the stern for the installation and rental of support boats up to 15 tons, two vertical anchorage mills, two roller stopores, two vertical cabins and a docking head to tie to a folding crane for the handling of boats and equipment, which allows the turning on its vertical axis and includes a buffer system to avoid balancing. In addition, the Hodor incorporates an L.R.S.-certified HPU that provides power to all deck equipment. The Ferri Systems division developed a sophisticated control box with remote drive control, start-up and stop-of-equipment and emergency stop.
