The maneuvers of Asunción Loriente, provoke indignation in most Spanish rowing

Nautica Digital Europe Sports Highlights Remo

The candidate when he was president of one of the prestigious nautical clubs at European level... the Royal Mediterranean Club of Malaga, receiving the Sportive Merit Plate from the hands of Alejandro Blanco, president of the Spanish Olympic Committee

The majority say so... as well as more than seven in ten of the representatives of the Spanish paddle: Asunción Loriente for his strange, very radical behavior of attachment to the poltrone... is causing a gap in the world of paddle in our country... first he tried not to let those who on January 5 have not paid the federal license of 2022!... then he blamed the machismo of one of the autonomous presidents... they want to take me out of the way because I am a woman, he pontificate! (when they chose her, it was also for the same or not... because I am not all.)

Then many stations were spent in the disreputable maneuvers to the democratically elected candidate by the vast majority of those who have the right to vote before the motion of censure... and finally the one without reason has already been manifest, in case there was any doubt: to organize the Assembly where the motion will be discussed, in Banyoles... in the province of Girona... on a working day... and with beginning at 10: 00 in the morning!... live democracy Madam President!... are you very wrong in a basic planting... the Spanish Federation of Remo is not of your property... the Federation is of all... and you with all that is showing, at least, the most bizarre and all that it is being, at least, of all that it is in the Spanish...

Today in NAUTICA DIGITAL in addition to our editorial opinion expressed in the two previous paragraphs... we publish the letter that the candidate for the presidency José Agustín Gomez-Raggio has sent to us... so that you who are at the end of the day the people who have the floor, decide what they consider appropriate and most beneficial to our evil rowing, from a time to this part:

As a result of the media poisoning that the current president of the FER, Mrs. Asunción Loriente, has orchestrated to combat the motion of censure brought against her by the vast majority of the Spanish rowing, seeking to discredit the proponents of that motion and me personally as a proposed candidate, I would like to clarify the following:

1. None of the signatories to the motion, or myself, have anything against women, let alone the one they voted against last year. In fact, 20 per cent of the women who signed the motion are women.

2. All the signatories of the motion, including me, have different views on politics or any other question of life in their personal sphere, all of them respectable, faithful reflection of the free and plural society in which the federation is embedded, and in which there are sympathizers of all legally recognized political parties.

3. If anyone wants to get close to my personal ideas, rather than get from the context complaints phrases about the politicians we've all ever made, you can know my opinion in this article published (the link is attached), which, in summary, comes to say that I believe in an open civil society and in the Western values of freedom and democracy.

4. I think I have proved throughout my life to be an educated, serene, respectful and focused person with a long professional and sports career in front of various projects and sports entities.

5. I am saddened by the dirty media game in sport and, therefore, I will not enter into it, nor allow anyone to attempt to politicize federal life. The project that is led by all the Assemblies, to which I owe myself, is to improve our sport and to create a plan for the future of all.

6. The true democratic spirit does not come from avoiding a malsonant slip that we have ever been able to escape from all of us, and from despising the Assembly by convening it on a working day every week, at 10: 00 a.m., 700 km. from the headquarters, in a corner of Spain more than 1,200 km from Galicia or Andalusia, without paying any expenses, and all to make it difficult to attend and prevent the exercise of the vote.

7. To anyone who wants to help our sport I will be happy to attend to and put myself at your service immediately. But they won't find me giving answers to colas, biased or sensationalist articles that all they're after are holders of personal harassment and disprestige and a legitimate and democratic alternative in which we're only looking for a constructive and qualitative leap from the Spanish rowing.
