The Real Club de Regatas alicantino proposes to house a high performance center in its facilities

The president of the Real Federación Española de Vela, Javier Sanz, has shown his support for the presentation of the project to create a High Performance Centre in Alicante during the meeting with the president of the Diputación de Alicante, Carlos Mazón.

The Alicantino Miguel López Barrero, Vice President of the RFEV, has accompanied Javier Sanz at this meeting, also attended by Inés Herrador, manager of the RCRA and Luis Maldonado, member of the club's board of directors, currently in the electoral process, who would house the facilities of this new CAR.

This initiative deserves our full support; it is a good idea that will help the growth of sailing in Alicante and in addition these new facilities could serve in the future as a basis for training and concentrations for national teams,Javier Sanz has secured.

The ALICANTE CAR project recognizes the long nautical and sports tradition of the city and accentuates the work that the RCRA develops in the promotion and technification of the candle. This is why the RFEV supports the location in Alicante of this centre which, according to its drivers, will have state-of-the-art sports facilities.

The department of Alicante has been interested in this project and in collaborating with the RFEV in the development of sports projects aimed at enhancing sailing in the province.
