Bruno Iglesias of the Nautical Sports Club of Riveira and Pepa Bermudez de Castro of the School of Sailing of Marina Coruña, were proclaimed absolute winners of the Meeting Gadis of Optimist that has been used to put gold brooch to the Abanca Week, in which the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña was one of the essential clubs in the organizational tasks in which it is the most important eventomultinatic of Spain... in a very long edition that began in the waters of the International Trophy of the Conseto of the last September of Kayak. The Trophy Aurelio Fernández Lage, was obtained by Bruno Iglesias, who relays the Coruñés Fernando González del Castillo, who on this occasion was the sixth classified.

It was sung that if in November the Regata de Aurelio had to be postponed by orange alert... on this occasion the situation was radically different: the wind was a fleet... so we should thank the technicians with Chuco Pérez Lapuente, most responsible for having managed to carry out the event with two valid tests... that of Saturday and Sunday, which could be held simply by the right to advance at 10 in the morning of the beginning.

Among the oros the victory in the second manga, was for Arancha Rivero del Náutico de La Coruña, which was worth it to end in the eighth square. In the silver partial victory of Marta de la Cerda de Panxón, ahead of Alvaro Seoane of the Oza Maritime, which was made with the triumph in the general, being the second place for another optimist of Canido, Bertrand Cominges... who reaches after being third on Sunday.

By age in male Sub16 the first three were Bruno Iglesias (Riveira), Jorge Costas (Cangas) and Fernando González del Castillo (La Coruña). Among the girls Pepa Bermudez de Castro (La Coruña) (daughter of the great ocean sailing pattern Chuny Bermudez de Castro), Natalia Domínguez (Sanxenxo) and Arancho Rivero (La Coruña). Point and end for the week Abanca 2021, after a dozen acts and the Galas del Piragüismo held in Vigo and the Remo in Sada... with competitions of children's sailing, Olympic sailing, single-type sailing, heavy sailing, traditional rowing, mobile bank rowing, ergometer rowing, sea Kayak and nautical skiing. Bruno Iglesias del Club Náutico Deportivo de Riveira y la pontevedresa Natalia Domínguez del Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo, are the absolute leaders after celebrating in Galician waters the first day of the Meeting Gadis de Optimist immersed in the Abanca Week, and that by the hand of the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña has at stake the great trophy that bears the name of its most loved presidents in its long history: Aurelio Fernández Lage.

It was a very complex day, in which only the ability, as well as the serenity, of the judges led by the Arosan Chuco Pérez Lapuente... managed to save.

The Coruñese ria is usually noble in terms of its prevailing winds, among which are not the Nordestes... and there was the quid of the problem, because the trenches became materially crazy, so that they could draw at least a valid proof... that was the prize to their theson.

First, no less than four invalid sleeves, which caused the worst to be feared... at the end of time very just a 10-kt north-east wind was enough to open the valid test locker, which on Sunday day will be tried to overcome, hence the hundred and a half young participants are quoted... at 10: 30 in the morning... at which time the first exit will theoretically be given.

We must highlight the favourable day of the pontevedreses of the Sanxenxo Nautico, which took quite a few of the first squares of the two categories at stake. In Sub 16 the absolute victory was for Bruno Iglesias, who met the prognosis that gave it as a favorite... in girls the same thing with Natalia Dominguez. In Sub 13, splendid the young Jaime Díaz... while in females the first position was for Pepa Bermudez de Castro. Both from Marina Coruña.

In the silver group it was imposed in Sub16 and at the absolute level Alvaro Seoane of the Maritime of Oza de La Coruña, being the leader for the moment in Sub13 the Pontevedrés Víctor Domínguez de Sanxenxo. Among the girls, the best of the best of the Club Marítimo de Canido is the one who won (and also at the absolute level among the girls), followed by Alma Chamorro; while in Sub16 the best was Marta de la Cerda del Marítimo de Panxón. The closing of the week of Abanca 2021 by the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña... with the Meeting Gadis that has at stake the trophy that bears the name of one of the most outstanding presidents of the first herculino nautical club, of the unforgettable Aurelio Fernández Lage.

The reason for the postponement in November was not the Covid19, but a strong temporary that ravaged the Galician coast, and that prevented its celebration, by being catalogued as an orange alert by the maritime authorities. The competition that is classified for the national championships has again had a great response between the candle of the north-west optimist, and it will be 150 ships that are in line of departure... among which will be the main patterns and patrons; which are the ultimate promises of the galaic candle.

It will be six tests with the intention of holding three in each of the two days, beginning on Saturday at two in the afternoon and Sunday at ten and a half. The sleeves will be filled for 40 minutes, and will have maximum responsibility for the technical tasks of the Arosano Chuco Pérez Lapuente as the main officer, supported by Alfredo Fernández Soto and Carlos Sardiña. In the work of jurors, a Vigués Manuel Rodríguez Moreno as president, and a vilagarciano José Ignacio Prego.

In the largest competition, starting with the current Galician champions: the pontevedresa Natalia Domínguez of the Royal Nautical Club of Sanxenxo and the Coruñés Martín Mijares of Marina Coruña. The 150 optimists will be divided into two groups: yellow (equivalent to the first category) and blue, with almost half in each batch. The awards will be for the first three of Sub 16 and Sub 13 in both girls and boys. As far as the blue group is concerned, they will only be awarded both winners... and they will be able to choose the promotions to the group of the best.

The participation of Javier García Estrada de Marina Coruña is also one of the young regatists most prominent in the last races, as well as the winner of the last edition... the Coruñés Fernando González del Castillo del Náutico, another good patron such as Bruno Gago of the Náutico Sports Club of Riveira, as well as the Viguesa Emma Chamorro of the Club Marítimo de Canido that comes to win in the Open of Extremadura, and by the Real Club Náutico de Vigo its two highest exponents: Inés Ameneiro and Luis Wizner.

The most powerful fleets of the Nautico de Vigo, Marítimo de Canido, Nautico de La Coruña, Marina Coruña and Nautico de Sanxenxo... will also be on the exit line units of Cangas, Aguete, Riveira, Portosín, Oza, Baiona, Panxón, Ferrol, Sada and Ares... among other clubs. The Coruña with the Meeting Gadis, as the closing of the week Abanca 2021, will be the reference of the youngest candle at national level.
