The sixth and last event of the International Barcelona Winter Series in J70 was held in Barcelona. The event has been held with a monthly meeting since last October, in which a total of 48 sleeves have been held, with 19 J70 monotypes with a splendid level registered, have sailed with all kinds of conditions and has been flagged in six countries: Spain, Germany, England, Poland, Portugal and Russia, although Russian teams in this month of October have been unable to compete because of the restrictions they suffer in all international races by the World Sailing. To highlight, that amen of the foreign regatists, have participated more than 150 athletes from Catalonia, Andalusia, Valencia, Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands.
The canarian crew led by Luis Martínez Doreeste, proclaims champion of the winter series having achieved 9 partial wins and with 8 points of advantage.
The silver has been for Tenaz de Pablo Garriga with the Rayo Tabares to the tactic and the bronze was for the young of Can Marlés... fourth has been Noticia by Luis Martín Cabiedes and fifth the English Seriousfun by Tony Hayward.
In the closing act the victory was for the Bodega Can Marlés patroned by the young grancanary Jorge Martínez Doresta who managed to impose himself forcefully, being the leader at the end of each day... his older brother Luis Martínez Doreeste, to the command of the Autolic- Tropicfeel remained in second position, followed by Tenaz but on the last manga of Sunday, a bad exit of the Canaries Autolic- Tropicfeel relegated them to the third final square, in favor of the Tenaz that took the cat into the water winning the last sleeve and achieving two points of advantage over the canaries. Bodega Can Marlés finished that sleeve in second position, allowing him to win the sixth event with a sluggish margin.
This sixth event has noted as the last of the Winter Series, but in turn the first of the International Spring Series of Barcelona of J70... that will be completed with a second event in April (from 22 to 24) and the Catalan Championship to be held from 13 to 15 May.
The Real Club Náutico de Barcelona, a club that supports the J70... completes its program with the prestigious Conde Godó trophy, from 26 to 29 May, the J70 monotypes will regateate along with other cruise classes as it is already usual.
What is worth highlighting is what these regatists have and are achieving on the basis of a collective personal effort, and in some cases with the special support of very valuable shipowners. What is happening in Barcelona + Vigo or in Vigo + Barcelona is extremely historic... and what is sad is that love for the efforts of participants and host clubs is not given federatively the value they really have, and what they are doing for the Spanish high competition candle.
We want to read... FRIENDS AND FRIENDS, WHO COMPIT IN J70, ARE NOT DOMINGUEROS, nor ARE YOU GENTLEMEN TO BUY A SOCIAL ELITE... Those in J70 are high-level deportants... OF THE IMPROVED THING WE HAVE IN THE SPEAKING SPAIN... And they are the ones who are giving us and they will give us the most of the best in the country. _

After 48 sleeves the canary team proclaimed itself the champion of the winter championship with a total of 6 participating countries and 19 monotypes J70... the winning crew, was made up of Luis Martínez Dorete, Adolfo López, Guti del Castillo and Ricardo Terrades is the only one to defend the grympolas of the Real Nautical Club of Gran Canaria, Real Nautical Club of Arrecife and the Real Nautical Club of Barcelona (Photo Oscar Torrades)

The sun began to shine, leaving behind the clouds of the previous day, the wind rolled south and gently blowing from 4 knots to 9, with a flat sea with very little wave, which allowed to celebrate 3 new sleeves. Although in the Sunday races the teams were won by the teams that were not at the top of the classification, curiously the championship ended with the same podium of the first day but a much tighter score, headed by "Marina Alcaidesa" of Gustavo Martínez Doresta and Germán Panei, two points are followed by "Tenaz" of Javier Serk with the Aroteño launcher Rayo Tabares to the tactic and tied to points the only 100% canarian crew of the "Autolica - Tropicfeel" formed by Luis Martínez Doresta, Adolfo López, Gustavo de la Castillo Real de la Cáutico, Gustavo y la Club of the Royal de la Castillo de Náutico, and the Club de Barcelona.
The International Barcelona Winter Series in J70 will end at the end of March with the sixth event, which will either be used to start the Spring Series, which will be reorganized by the Real Club Nautico in Barcelona.
