Manuel Villaverde and Javier Sanz

The president of the Royal Spanish Vela Federation, Javier Sanz, met today in Vigo with the president of the Royal Galician Vela Federation, Manuel Villaverde, on his first official visit to Galician lands since his inauguration in March last year.

After the meeting at the federal headquarters of Bouzas, which laid the foundations for developing several lines of collaboration between the two institutions, Javier Sanz received a metopa from the Federation as a reminder of his visit. The two leaders then moved to Vilagarcía for a tour of the Galego de Vela Centre, where they were accompanied by the director of the Centre, Bruno Gago.

Vilagarcía is the basis of the three main events that directly drive the RFGV: the Women's Regatta, Galega da Vela Week and Galicia Olympic Week.
