Gonzalo Araújo, one of the best Spanish heavy sailing patterns of all time, with a young crew in which the Viguese Jacobo Vecino, Miguel Barros and Juan Den... as well as the Spanish poidia champion of Vaurien Miriam González... were proclaimed winner of the Villalia Winter Series of J; 70 that ended in the Vigo Ria, with the organization of the J70 Class and the Olympic nautical. The victory of the pattern was in Vigo, and the last act, with several ships very close to it, resolved the situation with authority, by achieving four first positions, in the five sleeves that were held.

Little wind in viguese waters, with the beginning of the sleeves at 10 in the morning... a wind also very roll, tremendously variable: from the southwest to the north-east... always with 5 knots, up to 8 and down to 4. It was very complicated for Jaime García and his judges, who not only saved the closing day, but managed to align themselves with the planned programming: 4 sleeves, so their solvency as technicians must be highlighted.

In the same race as a pletoric Araújo, one of the two ships of the Maritimo de Canido that are in the Villalia: the Pazo de Cea that had Ramón Ojea as its patron (the other is the Sailway Academy of the young Orensian patron Alex Pérez Canal, which is the J70 of the Canterans). Ojea was the second on Sunday day, and he achieved a first partial... being the other three for La Guardia & Moreira. The great day of Pazo de Cea served those of Canido to be placed in a sixth place in the final general.

After them, a Green April that was trying to get into the podium, which he did despite his third square on Sunday; he was not able to unblock the Marnatura 1 of Luis Bugallo, who was fourth on the last day... what was enough for him to do with bronze. After them Jorge Pérez Canal, who went up in the general one step, remained at the doors of the podium.

Sogacsa (Vigo), Sail Cascais (Lisbon), Willy (Vigo), Valmy Atlántica (Honey), Sailway Academy (Canido), Correa Kesler (La Penela), Perjental (Vigo) and Solventis del Coruñés Malalo Bermudez de Castro completed the table of the last day of the Villalia Winter Series of J70, which had its closure in Galician waters.

2022-01-15: The Villalia Winter Series of J70 in Vigo... view for judgment

The Guardia & Moreira with Gonzalo Araújo a la rea, is the great favorite to be made this Sunday with the absolute victory in the Villalia Winter Series of J70, which are organizing the 70 Class and the Real Nautical Club of Vigo. The Sunday day that will begin at 10: 00 am will be the last in this series in which the fleet has been competing since last October, with the presence of many of the best national heavy sailing patterns.

I would have given more emotion if it were possible, to the closing day... that on Saturday the four sleeves had been completed... but despite the efforts of the great team of judges led by the Coruñés Jaime García... it was not possible. Two sleeves were put on stage... one very justified by the little wind in the north-east (3 to 8 knots)... but the other Jaime chose for the most reasonable, which was nothing but to annul.

Therefore a valid manga, which has changed some things... but which essentially served to assist Gonzalo Araújo to be more leader (even if not final), that on its part the Sogacsa of Páramo e Iglesias held the second position, with options to surprise... and that in the third step of April Verde was in a handkerchief on the closing day with a Marnatura 1 by Luis Bugallo, which was not lucky with the terrible conditions that had existed in the Vigo's era... which by the way achieved a tenth place in the manga.

The victory was La Guardia & Moreira, followed by Sogacsa and completing the partial podium the Orensian Luis Pérez Canal with its Green April. Fourth place for Willy Alonso, fifth Pazo de Cea de Ramón Ojea and sixth other pattern of the City of Burgas... Jorge Pérez Canal with Red April.

Sailway Academy of the first young Orensian Alejandro Pérez Canal was seventh, ahead of Valmy Actlantico of the Club de Mar de Honey... being the ninth place for another J70 Coruñés: the Kessler Correa of Fran Edreira and the tenth for the debuts of the Sail Cascais with the Olympic Lusian Vasco Sherpa to the cane of Lisbon.

If the Real Club Marítimo del Abra de Getxo was the first club to start the heavy sailing competition in this season 2022 with the Digital Nautical Trophy last weekend; it is now the Real Club Nautico de Vigo with the Villalia Winter Series of J70 that will celebrate its fourth and last act in Galician waters. In the end there are three outstanding monotypes: The Guard & Moreira of Gonzalo Araújo, the Sogacsa of Sancho Páramo and Pablo Iglesias, and the Marnatura 1 of Luis Bugallo.

There will be two days, the first on Saturday beginning at 1: 30 in the afternoon, and Sunday at 10. In both the judges with the Coruñés Jaime García in charge will try to cover the planned program: four sleeves per day. If they do or even do complete 7 sleeves, it would cause the entire fleet to despise a third score... which could offer surprises in the head group.

To highlight the debuo of the boat Lisboeta Sail Cascais that will have in front of one of the best Lusian patterns of all time... the Olympic Vasco Serpa... that will have a crew of many carats in viguese waters: Mafalda Pires de Lima, Diogo Pinto, Guilherme Gomes and Ruben Castels.

This team along with the Orensian ships, Green April and Red April of the Pérez Canal, as well as the Pazo de Cea with Ramón Ojea to the cane of the Maritime of Canido and the Coruñés Solventis of Malalo Bermudez de Castro... are the weapons that need the two J70 followers of Gonzalo Araújo: Sogacsa and Marnatura, to give reach to the Lucense.

Emotion secured until the last act in the Villalia Winter Series of J70, with a very high level and which together with the series that are being held in Catalan waters, make up the most outstanding of the sailing of monotypes in the beginning of this season... with Vigo and Barcelona as national reference.
