It was a day of many emotions, also with the farewell of President Ramón Zubiaga, who had nice words for the recently deceased Jorge Churuca and his father Ramón, also former president, with whom he melted in an emotional embrace

The Regata del Gallo, the annual feast of the sailing of the Marítimo del Abra, again parted of the most spectacular and photographed image... with soft winds the 70 ships passed under the Bizkaia Zubia... of the centanario Puente Ppendante, to delight the own crews and the much public placed at noon on the banks of Portugalete, Santurtzi and Las Arenas... after the 8-mile tour of the Abra, were imposed the Abelarre de Mauricio Guibert in the Regata class, the Kribi of Juan Manuel Peror in the Iguor II, in the Kamor in the Iguor in the Iguor.

Almost the entire Vizcana fleet was present this Saturday in a race whose colofon took place later in the Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club, with all the security protocols and limited capacity, in a different award delivery to previous years.

The comandoro of the Club de Las Arenas, Tomás Alonso- Allende, discovered who took the Gallo Prize, to the most outstanding crew or regatist of the year 2021: to all the team of the School of Sailing José Luis de Ugarte, for the work, effort and dedication, to achieve the results of the last years; and the Pata Prize, to whom was chosen for making the failure that has given more to speak in this sport of the candle during the competitions of another season that is over: the Kunana de Borja Gómez, for having a bad leg. Tomás Alonso- Allende himself received a final surprise when he received the awards he gave, the rooster and the paw, on the occasion of his farewell in office after twelve years.
