The Spanish delegation has achieved 4 podium posts and 9 in the top 10 in the 50th edition of the World Youth Championship presented by Hempel and held since Monday in Mussanah, Oman, in which 435 young regatists from 59 countries have participated in 11 classes. It has been five days of disputed competition under blue skies, spring temperatures and soft winds of between 8 and 10 knots, typical of Oman.

The rest of the Spanish representation achieved remarkable positions, but outside the podium, in the classes in which they participated. 14 of the 15 young regatists achieve top 10 results and thanks to this score, Spain defends metal in the Nations Trophy with a silver, behind France and ahead of the US bronze

In white-surfing Male Bic Techno 293 + the shooting Xicu Ferrer Juan, ends with a fifth place, as does the Canary couple in 29th female Martina Lodos Falcón and Martina Díaz Salguero, the youngest in the Spanish squadron.

In the two-mixed multicasco class, Nacra 15, the Catalans Max Rondeau Gómez and Mar García Alves, achieved a sixth place. In FormaKite the alicantino Francisco Peiró Mora finished in eighth place. The class ILCA 6, represented by the shooting Javier Seguí Mearns in the male category ends in the top 10 with a tenth position and the bat María Martínez Maestre achieves a tenth position of a total of 46 participants in its class.
