The Spanish youth team of 420 is already virtually the winner of the female class
The Baleering Regatists Neus Ballester (CN Sa Ràpita) and Andrea Perelló Mora (CN Arenal) are already virtually the winners of the World Sailing Youth World gold medal. The competition, which is being fought in Oman, will end tomorrow Friday but after today's day Ballester and Perelló have already secured the victoira: it is enough that they go sailing tomorrow to confirm their gestures.
Tomorrow, it will end the Youth Sailing World that organizes the World Sailing every two years and in which only one crew can participate per country; this is a race that tries to emulate the spirit of the Olympic Games but in youth classes. The Spanish team, in addition to having Ballester and Perelló, has nine other crews in competition and aspires to get more podiums. With a day ahead, Ian Walker and Finn Dicke lead the male / mixed class 420; the brothers Mateo and Simón Codoñer go second in male 29er while in female Martyna Lodos and Martyna Díaz are sextas; Zoe Fernández is third in female Techno Plus and Xicu Ferrer, fifth in male; in male Formula Kite, Francso Peiró occupies eighth place; Max Rondeau and Mar García are sextos in Nacra 15; and in ILCA 6, Javier Seguí is the first of the male fleet and Maria Martínez is the seventh female.
