The young Lusitana promise Bernardo Pereira (SS1) and Suso Pérez Rial (OC1), of Club Piragüismo Aldán, have been set up as winners of the eighth edition of the Ocean Race Launch, a test integrated into the calendar of the International Federation of Piragüism (ICF), which has developed throughout the weekend with the Atlantic waters, as it passes through O Grove and Sanxenxo, as a witness. Raquel Da Costa (Club Piragüismo Rías Baixas-Boiro) in the category women SS1; and the duet formed by Alberto Gil and Brandan Fernández (Club Kayak Vigo), on the double boat, completed the honor picture in the highest category on the Sunday day.
With an unbeatable day for navigation in the discipline of surfski, with strong waves of sea background and back wind (downwind) to the entrance of the river, the nearly 70 participants of the present edition set out to the Surfski Center Nautical Polledo of Portonovo, at the then organizing club of the event, a total of 17 kilometres away from the mythical beach of A Lanzada that the Portuguese Pereira covered in 1: 03: 45. The current champion of the world and of Europe júnior de kayak de mar took a little more than half a minute to the Asterian Alvaro Fernández Fiuza (1: 04: 20), the Club La Ribera Oviedo Kayak; and in almost four to the third ranked, Luis Blanco (1: 07: 30), the Club Nautico Firrete.
The great duel of the day was starred by the Pérez Rial brothers in the Ocean Race 1 mode. Suso again demonstrated his national status of number one of the above-mentioned mode by flying literally on his boat, to mark a 1: 15: 36 chrono and to conquer the Lanzada for the fifth time, extending his legend a little more in this competition. Seven minutes later he reached the goal of Portonovo his brother Carlos, Perucho (Club Mar Ria de Aldán-Gandón), investing a time of 1: 22: 31, achieving the third square Eduardo Iglesias (1: 24: 43), of Club Piragüismo Aldán.

In the rest of the trials today, the palists of the Club Piragüismo Cambados, David Bemposta and Sara Iglesias (1: 10: 03), were imposed in the absolute mixed SS2; the Portuguese Luis Ventura (Clube de Canoagem de Setúbal), did the same in the category Veteranos-A, with a time of 1: 08: 40; the dupla formed by Neftali Paraje and Luis Real (1: 07: 33), of the Club Ria de Betanzos, achieved the gold in Veteranos-A, while the Club was the best in the "La Ribera" (").
The world-party Guillermo Goyanes, belonging to the Mera club, was made on the sabatina day with the title of the stand up Paddling (SUP) test champion in his elite category, after covering the eight kilometers of it in 51: 40, in a final match in which Paulo Caldeira, of the Olivico Vigo club, was imposed for just 35 seconds. Pablo Codesido (Nautico Portonovo club) held the third position with a 55: 45 chrono.
The Lusitan Angela Marta Chevarría of Surf Clube Viana celebrated her recent motherhood with the victory in the female test, investing a time of 54: 31. Marco Antonio Rodríguez (0: 53: 40), of the Nautico Cobres club, won the gold in the Master + 40 test; while the imfuel Carlos Besada of the Surfski Center Polledo Nautico Portonovo, achieved his seventh medal of the competition, fourth gold, by imposing in the Kahuna + 50 category with a time of 55: 46. Today he added his eighth presea to his third place with his inseparable Miguel Coto in the elite SS2 test.
Finally, in the Prone mode, the final victory was Jaime Ares, from the Salvamento Sada club, with a 1: 05: 55 mark. Just 13 seconds later he crossed the line of arrival Hugo González (1: 06: 08), of the GV Sports club; while the bronze medal was in the palist of the West Surf Club, Antonio Ventín, with a record in goal of 1: 12: 02.
