There have been no surprises on this last day, both in the podium squares and in the wind conditions that have been quite similar in the last two days. Nor has there been in the final podium squares, in which Pablo and Martín Fresneda (CM Almería) have done the title in Santiago de la Ribera.
With almost the duties done the Tandem Fresneda have gone to the race field to close the work and the title in the first test of the day, seizing a magnificent second place. This partial, together with those produced in the rest of the fleet and especially those from behind, already gave them mathematically the title and this circumstance has caused them to not complete the course in the second of the day so that was to be their discard, concluding with 13 points after the six completed tests.
The podium is closed with Martín Bermudez (RCN Madrid) and Angela Pumariega (RC Astur Regatas) with 22 points. Bad in the first for the tandem madrileño-asturian, with a 37, fixing the slash in the last with a third.
The bronze is left by the Valencians Gonzalo Calvo and Alexandre Tinoco (RCN Valencia) who, like Bermudez and Pumariega, have had a good and bad race, conditioning them in their goal of improving their position. In the first a good test in all aspects has allowed them to sign a seventh job, in the second a UFD was definitely far from changing the color of the metal. Third parties with 31 points to 18 of the champions.

The second day of the XLII Spanish Navy Trophy leaves us with a very tight provisional general, although it is with the brothers Pablo and Martín Fresneda of the Club de Mar de Almería, keeping in the first square one more day, which has been closed with two tests with a wind that has again been unstable and roll, with an intensity that has gone from the 9 knots in the start of the first test to conclude in about 16.
The almerians have not been as regular as they were yesterday achieving 3-5 partial, not too good numbers, although the discards and also the results of their direct rivals that have not been able to maintain a good regularity, allows them to follow leaders in Santiago de la Ribera, although that does shorten the margin of points.
A provisional podium that remains the same after the opening day is closed. In this second Martín Bermudez (Náutico de Madrid) and Angela Pumariega (Astur de Regatas de Gijón) have made a calco to that of Saturday, starting with a deserved victory to end with a seventh, on this occasion. They stay only 3 points from the Fresneda tandem, thanks to the discard and that they have not been very successful either.
The script has been repeated from behind, with one lime and one sand. The Valencians Gonzalo Calvo and Alexandre Tinoco (Nautico de Valencia) have done well in the first, serious and worked race, with a more than deserved second square. In the second they have not exceeded the tenth position. The discards and little success of their opponents allows them to maintain options to scale a position on the table, as it has 14 points per 9 of Bermudez and Pumariega and 6 of the Fresneda tandem.
Tomorrow is the third and final day of the XLII Spanish Navy Trophy, in the framework of IX Admiral Marcial Sanchez Barcaiztegui, XVI Trophy Azor Ambiental and Memorial Paco Pérez.

The XLII Spanish Navy Trophy, organized by the Real Club de Regatas de Santiago de la Riber and in the framework of IX Trophy Admiral Marcial Sanchez Barcaiztegui, XVI Trophy Azor Ambiental and Memorial Paco Pérez closes its first day in compliance with the script, both in the podium favorites and in the wind conditions, with an average of 12-14 knots on an axis that has been maintained between 300º and 330º.
As planned and on a field of races complicated by that rachy wind that has forced the crews to an extra job, the brothers Pablo and Martín Fresneda (CM Almería) have set themselves leaders thanks to the two good partials, with a second and a first.
Nor has much been done about the planned, as regards temporary podium positions in the absence of two days and four planned evidence. The tandem madrileño-asturian, with Martín Bermudez (RCN Madrid) and Angela Pumariega (RC Astur de Regatas) occupying the second square. Well in the first, with a partial triumph much worked and deserved, and bad in the second in which they have not been able to exceed the tenth square. A result that can pass bill on the remaining competition.
The bronze, for the time being, was also planned with the Valencians Gonzalo Calvo and Alexandre Tinoco (RCN Valencia). Like Bermudez and Pummariega a good and a bad. Their start in the Minor Sea was with a ninth place, then they have improved and that third place allows them to close the day with 12 points, 1 of the second and 9 of the first.
By tomorrow, the second day, the committee hopes to be able to complete two other tests.
