Beti Guiro of the Real Club Marítimo de Sotogrande has been raised with the I Trophy RCMS-Puerto Sotogrande which corresponds to the first stage of the second edition of the Regata Vuelta Costa del Sol A2 that unites the marinas of El Candado and Sotogrande.

The second of the stage was Aquilino of the Royal Mediterranean Club of Malaga and the third the DBKB sailboat also of the Royal Sotogrande Maritime Club. In total there are 15 ships of length of 9 meters or more and whose GPH does not exceed 700 that which have been competing since December 3 in this Regata Vuelta Costa del Sol A2 that today has the last stage that links Marina del Este on the coast of Granada with El Candado in Malaga.

This race whose social purpose is to promote a sea without plastic and thus contribute to raising awareness of the participants and followers of this sports test with reduced crew not to throw waste into the sea, and thus to disseminate environmental measures, is organized by the Real Club El Candado, the Andalusian Federation of Vela and the Junta de Andalucía. It is sponsored by the City of Málaga and the company Insbeña.

During the three stages of the test, 200 nautical miles are taken as it aims to follow the steps initiated by the International Olympic Committee in the inclusion of a double class of these characteristics at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Puerto Sotogrande has been arrived from the first stage and departure of the second, becoming during the afternoon of Friday and the morning of Saturday as hosts of the event.

The second edition of the Regata Vuelta Costa del Sol A2 again has in this edition of 2021 the same social purpose of promoting a sea without plastic and thus contribute to raising awareness of the participants and followers of this sports test with reduced crew not to throw waste into the sea, thus disseminating environmental measures.

It is organized by the Real Club El Candado, under the delegation of the Andalusian Federation of Vela and the Junta de Andalucía, and will be present with the departure and arrival of Puerto El Candado in the coasts of three Andalusian provinces: Málaga that will be the main coast and Granada and Cadiz, with the marinas of Marina del Este and Sotogrande respectively that will host two stages.

The category A2 sailing competition sponsored by the City of Málaga and the Malaysian company Insbesa, has left this morning from the Puerto Deportivo of El Candado and has as its destination Puerto Sotogrande. It has the participation of fifteen Andalusian vessels that will compete for the title of this second edition for four days.

As a novelty this year, the winner of today's test will take the RCMS-Puerto Sotogrande Trophy that this year sees the light for the first time to promote this type of sports testing where the nautical sport in Andalusia and the Andalusian coasts themselves are valued.

In this way, another of the objectives of this race is to travel the entire Costa del Sol during the three stages that lasts with a tour of approximately 200 nautical miles or what is equivalent to 400 km, as it aims to follow the steps initiated by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in the inclusion of a double class of these characteristics at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Thus, the stages of Málaga - Sotogrande (San Roque, Cádiz), Sotogrande - Marina del Este (La Herradura, Granada) and Marina del Este - Málaga are established. Ships of a length of 9 metres or more are involved and the GPH does not exceed 700.
