The ship Volcan del Teide, despite meeting its scheduled schedule, has been forced to remain on the ground in Alcúdia Bay to encourage the entry of the ship Naples of Baleària that arrived off-schedule... more than 60 passengers, 25 drivers and 55 trucks have been affected by the decision of Ports de Balears

Trasmed, a shipping company of the Grimaldi Group, denounces the discriminatory treatment received from the Harbour Authority of the Balearic Islands... this is because the ship Volcano del Teide, despite fulfilling its scheduled schedule, has been forced to remain in the bay of Alcudia to give entry to the ship Naples of the Baleària shipping.

The events have happened as follows... at 11: 02 hours, with one hour delay over its scheduled schedule, the ship of Baleària has left Ciutadella for the port of Alcudia. And with an hour of delay he has arrived at the port of Alcudia.

For its part, the Teide de de Trasmed Volcano, which covers the route Maó-Alcúdia-Barcelona, has left the Port of Maó at 10: 00 in the morning, according to its scheduled schedule, arriving at the Port of Alcúdia at 13: 15 and with permission to dock on its' slot 'as scheduled.

However, minutes later, Trasmed receives a counterorder from the Port of Alcúdia in which they tell him that, following instructions from the Harbour Authority of the Balearic Islands, they will not proceed to its docking because in its place and in its assigned schedule, it will be done by the ship of Baleària. This decision has been contrary to the established hours and is seriously detrimental to Transmed as well as to its passengers and customers who have suffered the consequences of a decision that can be considered discriminatory.

In this way, Trasmed has been prevented from fulfilling its scheduled schedule, damaging it and favoring the Baleària shipping company which was operating late. Finally, the ship Volcano del Teide de Trasmed, which had to have docked in Alcúdia at 13: 15, has been able to land at its passage at 14: 41 hours and to accumulate a delay in its continuation to Barcelona.

In total, 61 passengers (7 of whom remain in Alcúdia and the other 54 go to Barcelona), 25 drivers and 55 trucks (three of them to Alcúdia and the remaining 52 to Barcelona) have been affected, to which Trasmed would like to apologize for these facts other than the operational and hard work of Trasmed to meet the hours... Trasmed is preparing to report this situation in Alcúdia to the relevant Competition and Merchant Navy Authorities.
