The twenty-third edition of the Olympic Week of Vela Canaria successfully ends for five classes with a day where conditions helped to develop the scheduled race program for today.

The Snipe class sets its final classification with seven valid races where two crews have carried out their particular struggle apart from the fleet. Although Fernando León / Antonio del Castilla-Olivares stood ahead of the first two days, the brothers of the Castle took advantage of this improvement of the conditions with a more stable wind and less wave, to win the last two races and draw a point on their club companions.

The Techno class had in its three categories, winners representing the RCNGC with Matilde Feliu in the Sub15 class, Bruno Barbara in Techno 293, and Nano Pardo in Donlebum in Techo Plus.

The double classes that played this Canary Olympic Week of Vela in the race field of the south of Gran Canaria, dominion of the current male European Champions sub17, Jaime Ayarza / Mariano Hernández, although the launchers Miguel Ángel Morales / Alejandro Martín of the nautical of Arrecife put the difficult things in some partial. In the Hansa 303 category today played double competition, with nine crews on the starting line. 03-12-2021: The Canary Sailing Week begins with ships from 8 countries in Las Palmas

With the closing of the period of inscriptions, sealing of candles and security control, the organization faces from tomorrow Saturday, four days of competition in the water. Confirmed 159 participants representing Norway, Finland, Sweden, Great Britain, Latvia, Thailand, Barein and Spain. The flags that represent them already wave in the nautical grancanary for an event where it seems that wind will accompany with a forecast between 8 and 14 knots.

The Royal Nautical Club of Gran Canaria will live two high-level events to be held on the same dates, under the organization of this entity: the XXIII Canary Olympic Week of Vela-Trophy Manolo Pazos and the Spanish Sailing Championship adapted for ships 2.4 mR and Hansa 303.

The Grancan Nautico is hosting this year the organization of two championships that will take place from 3 to 7 December. For these two quotes are called in total categories: iQFOIL, Waszp ILCA 7, ILCA 6, ILCA 4, 420, 29er, Techno293, Techno Plus, Snipe, 2.4 mR, Hansa 303, with an estimated registration in about 100 athletes.

As a novelty in the XXIII edition of the Canary Olympic Week of Vela, the competition will take place between the bay of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the coast of the beach of Puerto Rico in the municipality of Mogán, while the races of the Spanish Sailing Championship adapted with the classes 2.4 mR and Hansa 303, will be held in the waters of the capital.
