The Nautical Club of Portonovo remains a pioneer in its Sports Port, in the area of the collective of the disabled
The Portonovo Nautical Club with the technical collaboration of COGAMI and the ONCE, and economic of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund of the European Union (FEMP), the Conselleria do Mar de la Xunta de Galicia and the Local Action Group do Pesquero GALP6, has implemented a system of accessibility of disabled groups seeking greater accessibility of these groups and as a measure of non-discrimination towards the practice of nautical, allowing for a further step towards the integration of these groups within the sector.

The work of the body chaired by Javier Ruiz de Cortázar is commendable, and above all an example for others in this socially sensitive field.
The measures taken include, inter alia, external signalling of touch-podo routing to different port departments, signalling in Braille system of indicative posters, information in QR code with explanatory audio, replacement of doors by other automatic opening, placement of adapted passageways. All this helps to better and more integrate the disabled and in particular with severe visual deficiency, making the nautical area more accessible and normalizing the port spaces to the above-mentioned collectives.
