We were one of the largest managers of the Sailing of Spain: Estanislao Durán

One of his last photos as the manager of a nautical-sports entity... December 2008 in the presentation of the 420 Spanish Cup... in which he is next to Charo Andrade and in which he highlighted a young man named Nicolás Rodríguez (Photo Moebius)
The mobile phone sounds today... I see the screen and I read Manuel Villaverde and I wonder what the president of the Galician de Vela wants... I discover and with a sad voice I hear: our friend Estanis has just died... I was surprised and sad...
I thought to communicate the sad news to the dozens of common friends we had... and I started by José María Perez Ullivarri, who put us in orbit with the Bombay Gin, Javier Gandara, me and the Monte Real... Chema was followed by the main regatists such as Javier... Willy Alonso, Carlos Sande, Pablo Retolaza "Púso," Jaime Alonso, Alto, Alecu Retolaza, Jaime, Jaime José Luis, José Luis Páso, José Luis Pácó, Luis Pácó, José Luis Pásquo, Luis Pásquo, José Luis Pásquo, José Luis Pásquo, Luis Pásquo, Luis Pásquo, Luis Pásquo, Luis, José José Luis Pásquo, Luis Pásquo, Luis Pásquo, Luis, Luis Pásquo, Luis Pásquo, Luis, Luis Pásquo, José, José, José, José, José José, José, José Luis Párojo, José, José, José, José, José, José, José, José Luis Párojo, Luis,
I was excited by the reaction of the younger ones like that piece of photographer who is Maria Muiña, or my Gaditano brother Nicolas Terry, or of the immense Assyrian who is Eduardo García Santamarina, or of the Periquito... of Victor Montero, or Guillermo Poyan, or Fernando García Tobío... or of his sons Charli and Nano... I assure you that I was called or sent away by wasap of sympathy dozens and dozens of close friends... and some other tear of course.
The last few months are being very hard... we are losing in the Galias as the "Bird" Juan Carlos Rodríguez Touges... to many of the head platoon: in a short time we have been left by several big ones such as Humberto Fernández Cervera "Piruchi," as Alfonso Paz Andrade, as Fernando Massó, as Fernando Escalera... and as Estanis Durán.
As Pedro Pablo Parrado said, it was the "essence of Mount Real Club de Yates." It is clear that Don Rafael Olmedo was a fundamental factor in Baiona... but it would be a lack of truth to say that the great comandor, Estanislao Durán, was not too.
It was with Francisco Sánchez Balgoma that he started the brilliant saga of the "pairos..." that he told me comes from Paco and Rosa (Baltic marriage) and not from being in the pairo. First that Pairo One, then the powerful Pairo Two... the Elvstron Half Ton... then the Pairo Three brilliant that became the Easy Boys... and then thanks to José Luis Freire, Constante Freire and Boni Logares came the great ships and the national and international performances of many carats.
As a manager, their achievements were spectacular. There were times when he dedicated so much, that many believed he was a senior manager, not an amateur-amateur. How many times in Madrid I made thank you for what you supported me in my work, and caused me to be who I am professionally speaking... many times we have discussed... but we did it with the grympola of Mount Real by flag.
I am very clear and with that I do not want to fall into the pedantry... that under the command of Olmedo, with the work of Estanis, the support of Alfonso, of Tobío, of Piñeiro, of Jacobo, of Barreras, of Cancela, of Soto, of Mandado... and my role as a professional... and the entire staff of workers... we have managed to make the Mount Real Club of Yates the number one, and therefore continue with new generations and consequently with new leaders at the top of the classification.
His dedication to Mount Real Club de Yates, his particular and grateful way of acting, his humanity at once, his high-quality and persuasion, his quality, his lordship, his sympathy... in the end was an EXCELENTISIMA person who deserves to be in our hearts for ever.
