In addition to the presence of the usual regatists representing clubs in Toledo, Ciudad Real, Cuenca and Guadalajara, there was also participation of other windsurfers from the Community of Madrid, the Basque Country and Andalusia (Photo Surf3)

Intense nautical weekend in Guadalajara waters... in Alocén... where regional sailing championships were held in the modalities of Formula Windsurf and Slalom.

About a half a hundred athletes moved to the sea known as: the sea of Castilla de la comarca de La Alcarria, to take part in one of the most important competitions of the annual sailing calendar in Castilla la Mancha.

In Formula Wiundsurf 3 tests of about 20 minutes each were completed. The wind, although with some ups and downs, was between 11 and 22 knots of intensity.

In the first two tests of the day, Eduardo Navarro, was placed in the head of the group, with a very safe navigation and fully approaching in the choice of the navigation rucos... after Eduardo Navarro, several navigators including the gaditano established in Madrid, Luis Vierna, the talaveran Alfonso Tertre and the Pilar Prieto.

On the last day of the day, there was partial triumph for Vierna, who made a very good way out and took his head in this round to not leave the first square at any time and be able to cross the line of arrival in the first position.

Fourth classified from the general was the Horchana Pilar Prieto, which was certainly one of the main promoter for this important windsurfing competition to take place in Alocén.

Also note that the young Miguel Bailo and veteran José María Ochoa were the athletes who occupied the first place in their respective categories of this Formula Windsurf race.

In the final classification of this championship of Castilla la la Mancha de Formula Windsurf in 2021, were Eduardo Navarro, Alfonso Tertre and Pilar Prieto, since the second one classified in this test, did so as a guest, because they did not have a Spanish federal license.

Next to the Windsurfing Formula race and on Saturday, November 6, there was an OPEN windsurfing competition, not for the regional championship, in which they sailed windsurfers with different types of boats and gear. The results were quite tight, among the participants the vitorians Mikel Alvarez, from the Orillas de Alocén club, followed by the madrileñas Ana Figuera and Cristina Roca.

Among the young people of this Open class, Alvaro Moya and Pedro Lozano, who occupied the first and second positions respectively, were highlighted.

Sunday was a day of strong north wind... so with these navigational wavelengths for the Slalom mode, we could complete five very entertaining final tests.

The citizen Eduardo Navarro, the American Cristian Riis and the young Madrileño of the Orillas de Alocén club, Miguel Bailo, put the competition to a very high level. These three windsurfers were always in the first positions of all the rounds where you could see how the rivalry between them was maximum.

Also highlight the fourth position in the race and first fema, of the Pilar Prieto, of the club organizing the competition, the Orillas de Alocén club.

After the celebration of the third and final trial of the autonomous championship of Slalom 2021 and adding the points of all the races held, the Citizen Eduardo Navarro was proclaimed champion, being the subchampion Cristian Riis and bronze for Miguel Bailo.

After this regional windsurfing race was completed and after the award of trophies in the Plaza Mayor of Alocén, the event of signing the recent collaboration agreement between the City of Alocén and the club Deportivo Orillas de Alocén for the management and use of the Municipal School of Sela de Alocén by the C.D. took place Alocén's Orillas in the next ten years. The signature was carried out by Jesus Ayuso, as mayor of Alocén and Pilar Prieto, as president of the Orillas de Alocén club.

Both entities have committed themselves to offering visitors and users of the Municipal School of Vela, an open sports facility that will offer their activities to both the neighbours of Alocén, as well as to those of the entire province of Guadalajara and other neighbouring regions and regions.

In the agreement, all the planned actions and uses are established and regulated, without a doubt among the general lines of the objectives both from the local council and from the CD Orillas de Alocén.The promotion and dissemination of water sports, as well as the creation of an e spacio open to citizens and especially to young people, are the main purpose of this agreement.

Both the municipality of Alocén and the Club Deportivo Orillas de Alocén have committed themselves to working together to enable new sports and educational projects to be carried out in the coming years.
