The Portonovo Nautical Club has installed the first floating platform to fight fire and marine pollution in the marinas of Galicia with the implementation of environmental measures

This facility aims to contribute to climate change mitigation by having an infrastructure for containment and prevention, contributing to both economic and environmental minimization in the event of an accident. By means of tools for the containment of marine accidents, provision of anti-pollution equipment for coastal installations.

The platform has a mobile marine fire control equipment, marine hydrocarbon pollution equipment and a mobile black and grey water collection equipment. These equipment will improve marine and coastal environmental prevention, allowing for the provision of marine casualties by fire in ships, marine pollution by hydrocarbons, and the collection of water from black and sentry by means of a virtually immediate response in the event of any of these marine disasters within the Pontevedra era.
