The first of the three tests of the Varadero Trophy is closed and it does so with 25 registered ships
The first of the three tests provided for in the Varadero Trophy 2021 could not be better started. About 25 ships have taken the exit, divided into six classes, to complete a coastal route to El Perelló, with a total of 17.4 miles for all. Good wind, ground conditions, which have reached 12 knots of intensity at some stage of the race.
Alberto de Castro's Swan 45 has dominated in real time, although maintaining a nice struggle with the M8 Zas Sailing of José Luis Francés. The great favorite, the Hang Loose of Fernando Muro, has had to settle on this occasion with the second square, with 4 '20 "on the ship of Tur. Bronze for Kiko Torrent's Strategos IV, staying almost 16 minutes from the first.
Kamchatka, of Agustín Albach, has been the fastest and most ready among the Promotional fleet, as he has been able to maintain the type and defend himself well, especially in the clearing beacon, 1 mile from the exit, and also in the buoy located in El Perelló. After completing the nearly 18 miles of the tour, the Albach ship has been placed leader. Second place for Inquiethyl-Alhambra by José Vicente Alhambra, with a margin of 11 '39 ", while the third has been Oscar Chulvi's Newkote almost 19 minutes away.
On Sunday, November 28, the second of the three tests planned in the Varadero Trophy will be held, and the series will be closed on December 12.
