The international meeting of the class organized by the RCN of Torrevieja, postponed in 2021, opens the waiting list by reaching the maximum of 350 regatists from 24 countries in the absence of just over two months for the start of the test, to be held between 27 and 30 January 2022 (Photo Pep Portas)

The tenth edition of the Euromarina Optimist Torrevieja Trophy has been launched. The international meeting of the class, within the framework of the Spanish circuit Optimt Excellence Cup and which was postponed in 2021 to the health situation, will be held from 27 to 30 January 2022 with the aim of celebrating the race within a relative normality, but meeting the lines marked by the Royal Nautical Club of Torrevieja for this edition to reach the 350 regatists, a figure that has already been reached and a waiting list is being opened.

This figure expected by the organizing committee would be normal, although the registration of participants in the last deliveries has reached the 400 regatists as it did in 2019. The Club is aware that this new normality allows us to recelebrate the race as until 2019, so it will be developed on this occasion within obvious margins of prudence and in compliance with a strict health protocol, but if we lose that special essence that has differentiated it and made it special, within the Optimist class at both national and international level.

On the sports level, in the absence of just over two months for the official start of the test, the Club hangs the full poster and opens a waiting list. The Euromarina Optimist Torrevieja already officially has 356 accepted regatists and 33 on waiting list, from 24 countries, highlighting the entire American team, with Hungary, Poland, Israel, the Netherlands, Denmark, Russia and Portugal with more representatives.
