The Optimist Excellence Cup 2021-2022 is a reality. After the cancellation of the races in the past course for the health situation, this new season will be able to carry out the four races that make up the Spanish circuit of international character within the framework of the races planned by the clubs of Vigo, El Puerto de Santa María, Torrevieja and Palamós.

The Meeting International City of Vigo, reopens the curtain. It will do so in just four days, as the Galician meeting will take place between October 29 and November 1. A race that usually concentrates about 200 regatists.

As early as 2022 he will take over the Regata Ciudad de El Puerto, in its eighth edition. The port race maintains its dates, between 1 and 4 January. After the success of the European Championship in 2021, a high level of participation is expected. In recent editions the average of regatists who have participated has been around the 170 regatists.

Once the equator is over, the Eurobarina Optimist Torrevieja Trophy, under the umbrella of the Torrevieja RCN will face the final line of the OEC 2021-2022. The Torreviejense club will celebrate the race between 27 and 30 January. The organizing committee has established a maximum of 360 registered regatists and has already exceeded 75% of this quota.

The gold brooch and final point will again have Palamós as the protagonist. The International Vila de Palamós Trophy, which also includes the 'Nations Cup', will be held from 16 to 20 February. As in Torrevieja, the organizing committee has established a maximum of 460 regatists, with a participation at this time reaching the 312 registered, so there are 132 places left.
