Club Náutic S'Estanyol: respect for the sea, since 1970.
It all starts in the mid-1960s. The Caserio de S'Estanyol was frequented by neighbors of Llucmajor and S'Arenal. There were even some families who on weekends moved to this place with the intention of freeing themselves from the city and at the same time taking advantage to be able to practice their favorite sport, fishing, as it was a very appropriate area to make good catches with the volantín. This landfall at that time was inhabited by about thirty-five people, most of whom were professional fishermen, that is, they were fishing with nets, longlines, bluefin for the capture of squid, etc., but it was very complicated every time they had to go fishing, as the boats were stranded on the ground and had to be thrown into the sea and on their return to take them to the ground with great effort, a task of which almost all of the people in the house and some "muffins" as they called the palms.
It was truly very risky and more so since if they did not see that the weather conditions were very safe, many days of work were lost, which had an impact on their profits. A group of summers and some fishermen began to meet, having coffee first and more seriously later, and it began to shape what could be a shelter in this house. The agreements that were made at these meetings were managed in the various government agencies, struggling to obtain the right license.
With a few efforts in Costas it was possible for this body to grant the corresponding permission and subsequent construction of a mini-shelter, with which it was no longer necessary to stray the ships and avoid the resulting risk to go out to sea. This was a big step, but as the landfall was filled with summers, there was a need to increase this shelter and there was no solution but to build a marina, as it housed recreational and fishing boats. First, a Nautical Club had to be set up, so that it could start the relevant efforts in the construction of the port, an element that all the fishermen expected with great illusion, as it was the most valid solution to ensure their exits to the sea, the maximum days of the year. This is how the Nautical Club of S'Estanyol was established.
At the beginning of this century, the High Sports Fishing took an unusual role by Rodman's hands. It was the Rodman Circuit I had the honor of being your Director. I remember that the first thing I did when Francisco Rivas, at that time his Director General, accompanied by his manager in Marketing Maria Herrero, gave me the approval to the project to launch a national circuit of fishing for high, sustainable currican; it was to call the Spanish Federation of Fisheries and Casting, with which he had been related many years ago, when he was a young man in my early days of the Royal Mount Club of Yates de Baiona. The then President said to me: "Count on Spanish for whatever you want, but talk to Francisco Estrada who lives in Barcelona and can help you a lot. And so I went to the City of Condal, and I asked Estrada (with which I have made a strong friendship in these years) four bases for the I Circuit Rodman, and indicated to me: Arenys de Mar, Estepona, Campello and S'Estanyol!.
Of course the best championship was that of S'Estanyol, with an exceptionally healthy and sporting environment "and with respect for the sea as a flag." Antonio Ginard, Paco Cardona, what a good time. I said it then in hand at that immense dinner with half a Llucmajor of diners as the closing of the contest: "S'Estanyol the magic of the Mediterranean." It is certainly the cathedral of high fishing in our Spain, because it has everything: quality, environment, being in the purest area of the island of Mallorca, a great hobby.

The atmosphere in your contests is sensational, and what is very important: those outside feel at home.

Fishing School
Club Náutic S'Estanyol has always been a club with a great interest in fishing. Sometimes it is difficult for the tradition of fishing to pass from one generation to another so from here we want to encourage responsible fishing from small, to know the different species that can be fishing in our Marine Reserve as well as the different techniques, baits and materials. All this from respect for the sea.
Fish of the Year
The fishing section of Club Nàutic S'Estanyol organizes an annual trophy called Liguilla Pescador del Year in which a fishing test is usually held per month (except for the months of July and August). The score system is "down" by giving points depending on the classification of each of the tests (1 point for the first classified, 2 points for the second,...). At the end of the year, in December, a late-season dinner is organized and all-year participants are awarded. The winner is the one who has added less points throughout the year.
Height fishing
One of the events that attracts the most people is the Social High Fishing Championship. It is a tradition to closely monitor the weighing and measurements of catches.
"Fishing Together" program: Club Nàutic S'Estanyol offers a free meeting service among fishing fans who have a boat with fishing fans who do not have a boat so they can fish together.

S'Estanyol has everything for the high sport fishing fan. To its good quality as a place of mooring, it unites a great professionalism and kindness in its mariners.
