The Real Club de Regatas de Alicante is organizing the First Maximum Catula Trophy this weekend... 24 ships participate in the race.

At the end of the first day of the competition, the Royal Club of Regatas has a series of social events, within the framework of the Máximo Catula Trophy, with a sisterhood meal at the club's headquarters and with a concert... Sunday will be the departure at 10.00 hours and the delivery of trophies is scheduled at 14.00 hours.

Máximo Caturla presided over the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante for 16 years and three terms, between 1990 and 2006, and was the founder of the Spanish Association of Nautical Clubs... before the start of the competition, the Club de Regatas, the whole fleet and the partners who have notified their participation, will make a floral offering in tribute to President Máximo Caturla, in an emotional act where all those partners who died during the last year will also be remembered... the event will be held at 10.30 hours and will end with a salve marinera. Catula is remembered by the Spanish candle, for its vocation to get the relations between the nautical clubs of all of Spain, to be with the maximum cordiality and friendship.
