A J70 of the most regular... which has served him to be second in the general: the Sogacsa (Photo Maria Muíña)

Second place for a Sogacsa that to the chita quiet is already in the second position of these Villalia Winter Series, with a very good pattern as is Sancho Paramo and a crew of many carats such as the rover undialist Pablo Iglesias, Ramón Lago, Luis Sampedro and Jaime Gandara... who achieved two seconds and two third, and relegated the former leader, Jorge Pérez Canal with his Red April, who were in a fight below the vines.

The great favorite, the Green April of Luis Pérez Canal that had the patron Volvo, the Coruñés Chuny Bermudez de Castro remains off the podium, despite achieving the only manga in which Gonzalo Araújo did not win.

After them, another great reed, such as Malalo Bermudez de Castro, with Solventis, who is not in general among the first five, because he did not participate in the first act of these Villalia. And that it was frankly toned, leaving behind several of the heavy weights of the fleet... case of the Marnatura of Luis Bugallo that on this occasion did not get into the top five, even if it occupies it in the general.

The end of the second act, with many regatists and J70 of La Coruña (Solventis, Valmy Atlántico and Correa Kessler), before which will be the last competition of 2021... to be held in Vigo on 11-12 December.

Red April with the Orensano Jorge Pérez Canal in a row, and a crew composed of the Vigués Chapu Torné, José Luis Colmenero, Pablo Espinosa and María Pérez Canal is the leader of the Villalia Winter Series of J70 that organizes the J70 Class with the support of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo; and that this Saturday has celebrated the first day of the second series... after the two sleeves that took place last October.

The victory in the only manga that took place was the LaGuardia & Moreira, with the great heavy sailing pattern Gonzalo Araújo, which had a young crew composed of Jacobo Vecino, Nicolás Rodríguez, Paco Riveras and the great herculine promise Toni Ripoll... after a day in which the little wind was the predominant note in the viguese waters: of a northeastern component and with only 5 knots of speed. With this Araujo victory to take second place in the global general.

The second place was for the current leader... the J70 of Jorge Pérez Canal, being the third place for the debutante in the Villalia Winter Series, the Coruñés Malalo Bermudez de Castro with Solventis, who made a very good race. Fourth was the ship of the rover Pablo Iglesias, with Sancho Paramo to the command: the Sogacsa... what it is worth to hold in the first squares of the general.

Later Marnatura with Luis Bugallo to the cane, a pattern to which these wind conditions do not favour... which relegated to the seventh square the young Alejandro Pérez Canal with "Bosch Service Solutions," and later to the J70 of Willy Alonso, as well as the Pazo de Cea de Ramón Ojea. By completing the list of top ten the ship of the Club Marítimo La Penela Correa Kessler, with the Herculino Fran Edreira to the cane.

The fleet was closed by another Coruñés ship, the Valmy Atlántica of the Club de Mar de Honey of Alberto Figueira and the Vigués No Vas Hand of Anco Bernardez, debuting on Saturday. For the second day Sunday, from 10: 00 in the morning.

2021-11-19: Villalia Winter Series J70: Chuny Bermudez de Castro a luxury reinforcement for April Green

Red April leads the Villalia after the first act... the Green of Luis Pérez Canal is second (Photo Maria Muíña)

The prestigious ocean pattern Chuny Bermudez de Castro will compete this weekend in the Green April of the Orensian Luis Pérez Canal, in which it will be the second act of the Villalia Winter Series of J70, which organizes the J70 Class with the support of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo. The sign of the first sleeve, of the four of which is the programming of which will be the first day, on Saturday at the edge of the one and a half of the afternoon.

At the moment in the Villalia, it dominates the Red April that has Jorge Pérez Canal as its patron and that has a powerful crew in which are the Vigo Chapu Torné, José Luis Colmenero, Pablo Espinosa... as well as one of the greatest promises of the Galician female candle: María Pérez Canal.

The second square is for the moment, for another pattern of the City of the Burgas: Luis Pérez Canal, which counts that it has Eduardo Reguera, Pablo Espinosa de Soto, Luis da Rocha and Juan de Cominges... and that on this occasion will have a reinforcement of autetic luxury: the herculine pattern of the Volvo Ocean Race Chuny Bermudez de Castro.

The third in discord is another of the patterns with very high quality: Luis Bugallo, who will sail with the Arousan Gerardo Prego and the Viguese Enrique Freire, Alberto Basadre and Yago Blanco Cerqueira. A lot of youth and enough power to unblock those who send after the first act.

For this occasion it is due from another of the powerful: the Solventis of the Coruñés Malalo Bermudez de Castro, as well as from the "J70 canteran..." of the Bosch Service Solutions that defends the colors of the Club Marítimo de Canido with the very young Orensian patron Alejandro Pérez Canal to the controls... as well as from Willy Alonso who returns after the paron since the end of the summer.

It should be noted that there is a great environment in Portugal for several J70 units to set their base in Vigo, which will undoubtedly enrich the Villalia in a significant way. It is expected that in January, J70 of Porto and Lisbon will already compete in a regular way in the river of Vigo.

The Villalia Winter Series for the time being are as follows for the first five posts: 1st Red April (Jorge Pérez Canal), 8 points; 2nd Green April (Luis Pérez Canal), 10; 3rd Marnatura (Luis Bugallo Arriola), 12; 4th Sogacsa (Sancho Paramo), 12; 5th LaGuardia & Moreira (Gonzalo Araújo), 14.

Red April patronized by the Orensian cane Jorge Pérez Canal is the new leader of the Vilalia Winter Series of ka class J70, who concluded in Galician waters on Sunday their first act, after two days of competition from which the J70 Class and the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo have carried the reins.

After the sluggish wind that the Villalia had on Saturday... which meant that only a valid manga could be completed from which Luis Bugallo's Marnatura 1 was the winner; there was a lot of concern that something similar could happen in the initial day, which closed the first act of the three that are composed of these series. But none of this happened because the wind was in the order of the 15 knots, with some rachas with the highest speed, of the north-east component... and that involved the four-sleeved programming being accomplished to a percent.

In the first of them that began with exquisite punctuality, at the edge of 10: 00 in the morning. The victory was for the ship of Jorge Pérez Canal, which sent a clear message to its rivals. After the red aprons, the greens with Luis Pérez Canal, who today incorporated the former Spanish laser champion, Chapu Torné as a tactical. The third was for those of Sancho Paramo (who would make the rest of the day two more third and one sixth)... while Ramón Ojea with Pazo de Cea was fourth... and the leader, that is the fifth Marnatura.

In the second valid manga things were complicated from above, as Luis Pérez Canal imposed himself by relegating Red April to the second square. In the third new victory of Jorge Pérez Canal, on April Verde... and in the decisive test the partial victory for La Guardia & Moreira with Patricia Suárez to the cane (which replaced Gonzalo Araújo, Pazo de Cea was the second, Marnatura the third, April Red the fourth... and April Green the fifth: Jorge Pérez Canal was the new leader, with April Red.

For the month of November the second act of the Villalia Spring Series in the Ria de Vigo, in which is incorporated the fleet of the Cantabric, Canary Islands and the Mediterranean, of the monotype of fashion race all over the world: the J70.

Marnatura 1 also included the Arosano Gerardo Prego and the Viguese Enrique Freire, Alberto Basadre and Yago Blanco Cerqueira. For the second Sunday on which it will start at 10.30, with the intention of completing four sleeves.

The sabatine day was hard and despite the excellent work of the Regatas Committee with the Herculine Jaime García at the front, only a manga was achieved, and thanks... first the thick fog that made it difficult to navigate in the southern area of the Rías Baixas... then the loose winds... finally a soft 5-kt breeze from the west allowed to complete a manga, which is the one that has been used to obtain a provisional classification table of the first act.

After the usual pattern of the Pairo-Marnatura which is one of the most solid values of the Spanish heavy candle, Gonzalo Araújo was placed with La Guardia & Moreira (which on Sunday will be replaced by that great promise that is Patricia Suárez)... being the provisional bronze for another great pattern such as Sancho Paramo who has an excellent crew in which is the patron of Volvo Ocean Race Pablo Iglesias, Ramón Lago, Luis Sampedro and Jaime Gandara, son of the great ancient oceanic pattern.

For his part Ramón Ojea with Pazo de Cea was located in the fourth square, being the fifth place of Red April with Jorge Pérez Canal in a row... which in his particular duel to the Green April of the also Orensian Jorge Pérez Canal, which was disqualified. Tomorrow.
