The meeting organized by the Dummies of Ourense, the Maritimo Club of Vigo and the Galician Federation of Nautico Skiing itself has managed to bring together 30 Riders of Galicia, Asturias, Castile and León, Madrid, Portugal and France... that has had its representative in Jorge Martínez of the Club of Antibes.

In the different categories the provisional leaders are the following at the end of the inaugural day: Angel Porto (Mini Slalom), Marta Suárez (Slalom Sub17), Alberto Porto (Slalom Sub21), Gonzalo Pamies (Slalom Open), Jacobo Pereira (Slalom Senior 1), Nicolás Suárez (Slalom Senior 2) and Alvaro Montes (Figuras)... they are the Riders of Galicia, Asturias and León.

La riber viguesa Silvia Pino, la leonesa Marta Suárez and the compostelano based in Ourense Alvaro Montes, start as top favorites in the different specialities of the Iberian National Skiing Championship - Grand Galego Sport Prize, which organizes the Galician Federation of Nautical Skiing, the Dumies Club of Ourense and the Maritime Club of Vigo for their leadership in the Abanca Week, and which has the support of the Xeral Secretariat for the sport of the Xunta de Galicia.

The competition for the first time will be held in one of the most beautiful places that can be in the inland waters of the entire Peninsula: the Miño River in its way through the Orensian concello of Cortegada... at the feet of its legendary spa that was built in the 1930s, and which has recently been restored and will be an exceptional atalaya to be able to follow the different tests.

It is important to highlight the participation of two of our best Riders, both with the title of subchampions of Spain: by the Galician the little Silvia viguesa that got this award in 2020 and by the Spanish-speaking Marta Suárez that the one that won the title of 2021, and that competes for the Nautical Club of León... Marta has participated this season in the European Championship representing Spain.

In the specialty of Figuras, the great favorite will be the Santiagués Alvaro Montes that competes for the Dumies of Ourense... the Spanish champion will be given the appointment of Comodoro de Honor of the Abanca Week, which last year was not possible because of the pandemic, which we are still suffering.

The Pontevedrés club of the Comarca do Deza is also to be noted: the Nautico de A Golada, which comes with all its artillery to Cortegada, and which comes from playing a great role in the Portuguese Nautic Skiing Championship, which had an open category... as well as in the Galicia Cup, in which it was the great surprise, for its great performance.
