Guide to the Nautical Stations of Spain
The Nautical Station brand allows to distinguish those Spanish tourist destinations that are characterized by good conditions for the practice of nautical sports (sailing, diving, windsurfing, etc.) and wish to specialize as a destination of nautical tourism. A Nautical Station offers an organized and varied offer of nautical tourism that allows to market integrated services similar to ski resorts (accommodation, sports activities, complementary activities).
Most of the Nautical Stations are coastal destinations, and nautical tourism is a good opportunity to reposition some sun and beach destinations. But there are also nautical inland stations on river and lake banks. The concept of Nautical Station promotes cooperation at all levels:
- Between water service companies and tourism companies.
- Between municipalities in the same area. Some Nautical Stations are made up of more than one municipality.
- The public and private sectors.
- In each Nautical Station, tourism and nautical services companies for visitors, along with federations, public administration and other relevant actors, have formed an association with a manager.

The Ceuta Nautical Station is located in an unbeatable place to enjoy a wide variety of tourist proposals, distinguishing itself from other national tourist destinations because they are in northern Africa, and can enjoy the advantages of being between two seas and two continents. Among its products activities such as diving, cetaceans watching, sports fishing, sailing and guided routes on our coast or in kayak, courses of nautical formation and diving, mooring and repair of embargoes, cycling, hiking and quality accommodation.
The Nautical Stations aim to ensure a quality level of the product that ensures a satisfactory experience for customers and makes it possible to place Spain as a leading destination in world nautical tourism. The Nautical Stations are integrated into the Spanish Association of Nautical Stations (AEEN) that has defined quality standards that must meet both the destinations and the companies associated with each nautical station. In order to meet the established quality standards, EAEN provides technical assistance and training to destinations that are incorporated into the Spanish Nautical Station network and audits.
