Transmed will join Barcelona, Mallorca and Menorca from September 20

This triangular connection will be made by the Teide Volcano with a daily frequency
The company Trasmed presents the fleet plan that will be active from September 20 with an important novelty: the connection between Barcelona, Alcudia (Mallorca) and Mahón (Menorca). This service shall have a daily frequency and shall be carried out by the vessel Volcano del Teide.
The commercial director of Trasmed, Miguel Pardo, explains that "the new connection aims to improve the line between Barcelona and Mallorca by opening a new entry point in the North of the island being the first ship to arrive, at 3.00 am, and the last to leave for the peninsula at 2.00 hours."
This new connection of Trasmed, adds Miguel Pardo, "will also be an improvement in the connection between Mallorca and Menorca as to the weekly connection of Sunday between Palma and Mahón, we add a daily between Alcudia and Mahón that did not exist until now taking a step of quality in the interisland connections." In addition, "services between Barcelona and Menorca will not be altered and will therefore have no change for the intermediate scale."
This new route will be carried out by the ship the Volcano del Teide with capacity for 1,500 people, 1,800 linear meters of rolling load and a cruise speed of 25 knots that will ensure the arrival to Alcudia at 03: 00 hours and to Mahon at 06: 45 hours.
