The great protagonist of the event has been Álex Graneri, who has hung two oros in K1 500 and K1 1000, offering a whole demonstration that it is a safe value for the coming years

On a final apotheosic day in which five other medals have been achieved, Spain has put the point and end to this Junior World Championship and sub23 held in the Lusian villa of Montemo O Velho, a meeting in which our piragüism has again shown that it not only enjoys a magnificent present but that the future that comes from behind will be just as good.

For Alex Graneri, this competition has served to calibrate the future bazas of the national selection... they have been profiling ships that will have to start to be important from now on.

In the penultimate day Spain achieved the following medals: Carlos García and Bruno García achieved the silver in K2 500 in the junior category, while the second of the plates were to be obtained by Teresa Tirado and Nerea García in K2 200 sub-23. As for the bronze medals came from the sisters Uxue and Maialen Arsuaga in K2 200 júnior and Lucía Graña and Claudia Couto in C2 200 junior.

The Spanish team júnior and sub- 23 of quiet waters on the first day had already secured three medals in Portugal... after an intense day in which three ships have gone up to the podium.

In addition, two of these medals have been made of gold and have been achieved by Álex Graneri in the K1 1000 m and the couple formed by Ernesto Goribar and Marcos Caballero in the K2 1000 m júnior, while the ship composed of Pere Antoni and Cristián Agu have hung the bronze the test of the C2 1000 m.
