The European Championship of Formula Kite 2021 ends in Montpellier with the Catalan Gisela Polido among the ten best regatists on the continent, in ninth position

It ends in Montpellier the first European Kite Formula Championship as an Olympic class in the male and female category, in which the RFEV team consisted of seven regatists. Gisela Pulido has highlighted herself as the best national sportsman in the nine position of the European general, after having achieved yesterday the move to the final series.

The strong dishes of the day were thus the semi-final races of both categories, with the 12 chosen (positions 3 to 14) divided into two groups of six, to decide the two regatists, both male and female, that in the great Final would face the defenders of posts 1 and 2, who had signed their pass at the head of the classifications at the end of the fleet races.

The Catalan based in Tarifa Gisela Pulido yesterday earned the honor of being among this cast of regatists with a tenth place in the general. Reaching the first posts was very difficult, but Gisela, who has shown that he has been going from less to more in this European, saving a problem with the fire that he was charged on the first day, was going for all.

The Spanish woman harvested a second and a fourth since she was placed in the fourth square of her group, far from the pass to the final but enough to close her performance in Montpellier in tenth position of the open general. And with the good taste of mouth to be among the ten best raiders in Europe at the beginning of this Olympic cycle.

After four days of the Championship, with two days in white due to lack of wind, the European Formula Kite which has been fighting since Wednesday in Montpellier, France, will celebrate tomorrow its last round of races. Among the Spanish participants, Gisela Pulido has been the only national regatist who has achieved the pass to the Semifinals after being ranked in post 12.

The European scepter's dispute began, as planned, last Wednesday. On this first day, with light winds, the fleets of the male and female categories were able to navigate a total of five qualifying sleeves. The 91 participants in male and 40 in female, representing 29 countries on the five continents, were forced to remain on the ground the next two days for lack of wind, not being able to resume the championship until today.

With the Catalan based in Tarifa Gisela Pulido and the Valencian Alejandro Citation as best Spanish in the classifications, today's four final races have served to define the participants of the Semifinals and the Final that will run tomorrow. Gisela Pulido has managed to place herself at the 12 post of the general, which gives her the pass to the Semifinals, while Alejandro Climent remains at four place in the group of the elected, in 18th position.

As usual in this class, the first two classified in each category, the American Daniela Moroz and the French Lauriane Nolot among the girls, and the French Axel Mazella and Bernoit Gomez, achieve the direct pass to the great final. Those between post 3 and 14 will be faced in two semi-finals and the first of each will join the first and the second to decide the European podium at the final. In this final to four, the winner will be the one who first added three wins, starting the first ranked with two first lead and one second.
