The Spanish team in Montpellier with coach Antonio Mínguez

It begins in Montpellier, France, the European Championship of Formula Kite 2021, the first to celebrate as an Olympic class in the female and male modalities, and to which seven Spanish regatists, two girls and five boys attend.

The national representation in the female category will be carried out by the Catalan based in Tarifa Gisela Pulido and the manchega Adelaide Marquenie, with the absence of Marta Sánchez who was recently injured during a training. More numerous will be the male participation, with the athletes of the Valencia Community Alejandro Climent, Sebastián Ducos, Jacobo Espí and Francisco Peiró, and the Catalan Bernard Cortés. All of them will compete under the supervision of the RFEV technician Antonio Minguez, opening the race calendar for the Olympic meeting in Paris 2024.

The format of the European citation includes a first series of classification, after which the "Medal Series" will be held with Semifinal and Final. In order to access this final stage of the championship, our athletes will have to be between the first and the tenth place, with a final to four which will decide the champions of Europe 2021.
