The prestigious Terras Guda National Awards, which have been awarded by the Galician club with different formats since the celebration of that legendary Regata Bitácora Vuelta to Spain, which had been won by the Pescanova that was armed by Manuel Fernádez de Sousa Faro and Charo Andrade his wife, had Pedro Campos as his patron... on the Christmas of 1983.

They had their second time already with the last name of Nationals and the sponsorship of KPMG Peat Marwick, who had the explicit support of the Royal Spanish Vela Federation when it was its president Arturo Delgado de Almeida and the Portuguese Federation which had the highest responsibility, Rui Moreira de Hofle de Araújo, father of the current mayor of Porto.

And the third stage already with the support of Terras Gauda in which they have evolved, without deviating from the philosophy of foundation, but which has had a substantial change: instead of celebrating either the Christmas or the Carnival... that was their second time... they joined the programming of the Trophy Prince of Asturias in September, surely trying to enhance both: the race and the prizes.
