The Club Piragüismo Cambados was established in the main categories of the Kayak International Trophy of Mar Concello de Vigo (male and female), which marked the beginning of the Abanca Week in Viguese waters, and which they organized in terms of Piragüismo is the Club Marítimo de Vigo, the Club de Piragüismo Olívico and the Galician Federation; with the support of Marinetea, the Club Marítimo de Canido and the Liceo Marítimo de Bouzas. At the edge of the 8 o'clock Sunday morning, the Viguese facilities were a kettle... that welcomed the caravans with the trailers and the hundreds of participants, technicians and companions. The meteor helped his own: high temperatures, sun, a very soft sea and a north-east breeze that reached a dozen knots at a time.

The first departure involved the majority of participants, with a trapezoidal route between ETEA, Moaña, the Rande Bridge and ETEA... with a port turn immediately before entering the fleet in the area of arrival... with a total of 10,000 meters.

Perfect organization, with an impeccable rescue team both at sea and on land that Javier Herrera led, being the chief judge... one of the best at European level, which was appointed by the Spanish woman given the quality of international of the Concello de Vigo: Eddi Freire who was the referee judge... and had in the arbitral team María Ana Suárez and Carlos Martínez as exit judges, Rosa Barros and Jacqueline Diago as meta judges and as travel judges Yael Núñez and Esperanza Santé. The auxiliary Alicia Alves and Nerea Alonso, being responsible for the data process Ana Estevez... a committee of very high-level judges.

The second for cadets and standing Paleo, with less number. They were two competitions very quickly, so that in two hours both sleeves had been finished, so at one in the afternoon there was the award ceremony, which was chaired by the sports concelleiro of Vigo, Manel Fernández... who was accompanied by the sports delegate of the Xunta Daniel Benavides, as well as the representatives of the organizing clubs.

The male victory was for the Cambados Piragüism with 694 points... two more than the great favorite that was the Olívico of Vigo, the third being the Ria of Aldán, already with 567 points. The fourth square was for the Cobres and the fifth for the club of Arousa.

In females, Cambados's victory was repeated, as were the Olívico's vines; the bronze was for the Kayak of Vigo, with the girls of the Depornáutic Arousa being fourth and those of the Pontevedra Naval Club.

Finally in mixed category victory for Ria de Aldán, ahead of Kayak Vigo and the Xubias de La Coruña Sports Society, which made up the podium.

In addition to the best clubs in the province of La Coruña, the Club Piragüismo Narón de Ferrolterra (tenth among 25 clubs in male category), in female was Piragüismo Rianxo the best located (sixth) and As Xubias third in the mixed classification.

De Lugo was Piragüismo Viveiro the best placed in boys (19th) and girls (20th)... while by Ourense the O Barco de Valdeorras river was the one that achieved the best results... of the rest of Spain the best performance was for the palists of Piragüismo Aranjuez and Portugal the club of Vila do Conde.

After the Pyragüism, the turn for the traditional rowing: next Saturday by the hand of the Marítimo de Vigo Club and the legendary Samertolameu Sports Society of Meira--Moaña and with the support of the Galician Federation of Remo and the Marin Military Naval School, comes the Galician Cup-Ence with the Trophy Concello de Marin de Bateles. In 2020 it was not possible to celebrate the pandemic, and by 2019 it had hit a national record of women's participation in a conventional rowing race: more than 300 girls, as well as a global one with the total of 700 athletes.

The competition will be held on Saturday 11, beginning at 3: 00 p.m. in the brewery of Mayor Antonio Blanco, located between the port facilities of Marín and the Military Naval School itself.

2021-09-04: With the Vigo Trophy of Piragüismo, the Abanca Week begins

More than two hundred palists launch on Sunday morning the Abanca Week, by the hands of the International Concello de Vigo Trophy of Kayak de Mar, which will start the edge at 10: 00 in the morning, with the organization of the Maritimo de Vigo Club, the Club de Piraguismo Olívico, Marinetea and the Galician Federation of Piragüismo... which has just reached the 8000 federal licences of this sport, which is the most lauded among the Olympic in Galicia and the second national level, which will bring together in addition to this opening in this area and in the area of the city. As well as being international... the event is immersed in the Kayak League of Sea, a competition that is in its final phase... in the absence of the races of Vigo, La Coruña and Miño.

The competition will start with most categories at the edge of 10: 00 in the morning at the ETEA Track, the judges will give the exit signal, both for male, female and mixed crews to the Surf Ski 1 and 2, the Open Canoe 1, as well as the traditional K1 and the K2 sprinter.
