The World Cup Zhik 29er 2021 in the waters of the València reaches its final line and cannot do it better than with much equality between the fleet, short margins in the squares that give metal and with a last day for tomorrow... full of emotion and with much to decide and close.

This penultimate day, marked by a morning storm that has forced a deferral on the ground and by the strong wind from the second test, is recorded between 10- 12 knots of intensity on a axis of 060º. The important turn in the provisional general has also been another highlight of this fifth delivery in the RCN of Valencia.

The brothers Mateo and Simon Codoñer (RCN Valencia) have taken a giant step in their goal of getting the title. The Valencian tandem, with partials today of 4-11-1, add 44 points in the general, also treasure the first square sub17. They have everything in their favor and it only depends on themselves to be champions in the absence of a day and only three tests on the agenda.

In the back, with the provisional silver, the French Keo Devaux and Enael Rio are placed who have not had a good start and that very discreet 33 in the first test of the day drove them away from the podium options at that time. They fixed it in the second with a working and deserved 10th place, ending at the end of the day with a 14. They stay 5 points from the Codoñer.

Bronze is for the Danes Jens- Christian and Jens- Philip Dehn- Toftehoj who, like the French, have offered a good image and a not so good one. In the first of the day they signed a fifth square, in the second they signed one of their best tests in València, achieving a partial triumph. The cross for them reached the last battle of the day, falling to position 38 with 51 points, only 2 of silver and 7 of gold.

They also go up Quicorras Urios and Filippo Benetti (RCN Valencia) and even if it is only one post, they now place rooms with 52 points. With numbers today of 11-18-2 are left with 52 points and mathematics still makes them dream of the title. The Spanish-Italian tandem is located 1 point from bronze, 3 from silver and 8 from gold.

Tomorrow Tuesday sixth and last day of the world's Zhik 29er 2021 in the Royal Nautical Club of Valencia and will do it with three planned tests... the beginning of the edge of the one of the afternoon in shady waters.

The French tandem Keo Devaux and Enael Rio again occupy the first place in the provisional general of the 29er World Cup that is being held in Valencian waters... they already enjoyed that privilege at the close of the second classification, but now it does so in the gold group in the final series, achieving a small impulse and advantage in order to get the title. The French began their way with partial triumphs, pressuring it to be a great day for them, but they stayed at the gates. With 4 points of difference, Ian and Noah Nyennhuis have been placed, one of the great favorites of the title. The Americans have done the same thing as the French, but the other way around. They have started badly, signing a discreet 14th place, to move to a 4th and ending with a brilliant partial triumph.

His compatriots Anton Schmid and Peter Joslin still maintain good regularity, with numbers of 4-7-8 they discover some of that struggle for the world scepter as they amount to 35 points. The 16th square was completed in the previous phase.

After them the Valencian couple... one of the great favorites: Quicorra Urios and Filippo Benetti, signing two good partials with a 5th in the first day, and a 3rd in the last. In the second, a discreet fourteenth place has deprived them of being somewhat higher than that fifth place they occupy at the end of the day. The Spanish-Italian tandem totals 40 points, and although gold and silver are far away, the options for bronze are much closer, without excluding other options.

As for the sub17 Hugo Revil and Karl Devaux (France), they occupy the first place, followed by the Germans Carl Kruase and Max Georgi and the local Mateo and Simon Codoñer. As for the women Martina Lodos and Martina Diaz- Salguero of the Royal Nautical Club of Gran Canaria occupy the first place in this category.

Tomorrow, the second day of the final series will be held... the first test of the day scheduled at the edge of one in the afternoon.

2021-08-28: German tandem Krause- Georgi enters as leader in the final series of the 29th World Cup

The second day of the 29th World Cup, which is held in the Valencia RCN until next Tuesday, has been by the intensity of the wind, which has conditioned the program of the day, closing with only two tests, after a deferral on land of almost an hour.

The two tests, which have forced the crews to work extra to this little intensity of the wind, have resulted in and after the discard that has already entered into play an important turn in the provisional general classification, leaving France at the head of the provisional general, both in male and female category, of the hand of Keo Devaux and Enael Rio (blue group) and Chloé Revil and Castilla Nell (white group), both tied to 6 points.

Bronze, for the moment, is for Carl Krause and Max Georgi. The German tandem has competed in the blue group, showing very solid in the two tests, and its regularity in the four sections has allowed them to close the day with two seconds in which, after taking off its worst result, they remain with 8 points.

The tandem Antonia Schultheis and Ole Ulrich, leaders after yesterday's day, today has not been their best day. The Maltese, located in the yellow, have signed 3-7 partial, which leaves them with 12 points occupying the 10th place of the provisional general, although they are tied with the same points with three other crews: Jens-Christian and Jens-Philip Dehn-Toftehoj (Denmark) in the 8th place, followed by Ben Mueller and Sam Webb (Britain) and Simon Karlemo and Lasse Lindell (Finland), the 11th position.

There has also been a change in the best Spanish in the table, now being the brothers Mateo and Simón Codoñer (RCN Valencia), current champions of Spain, who become the improved national crew. Both are in post 13, although they are leaders in general SUB17, which also counts as leaders with the Italian Malika Bellomi and Beatrice Conti in females.

Tomorrow the qualifying round is closed in which three additional tests are planned, with the top of departure scheduled for 1 p.m.. After that qualifying round is closed, three days of final round will be given way with the gold and silver groups.
