The Week crowns its first champions and gives way to the Cruises with four days ahead and the simultaneous start of the 27th Regata Juan de la Cosa, punctuable for the Championship of Andalusia of Cruise Circuit

The fleet from Slayer to Vela today joined the Optimist, ILCA and 420 to together close the performance of the Light Sailing in the Gaditana Bay at the Nautical Week of the Port... as far as light sailing is concerned... where on Thursday the ships of Cruise and the 20th edition of the Regata Juan de La Cosa will make their entry. Today's was not an easy day, but it was resolved with mastery by all to complete four tests the skates and two more the rest.

No surprise in 420, class in which the crew of the CN Puerto Sherry of Susana Ridao and Elena Sofía Camacho win with release. In Sub 16, Castillo takes advantage of the rent and another one to beat with much solvency the CNM athlete Benalmádena, Roberto Aguilar, second absolute and male champion, and the young Adriana Serra also from the CDN Punta Umbria, separated by one point. At the podium doors with the same points as Serra is the canary Miguel Padron, male subchampion, followed by José Medel del CN Puerto Sherry. The female podium next to Castillo and Serra is complete by Mercedes Medel del CN Sevilla.

With great certainty, Sergio Mancera also wins in Sub 13, as the one in Punta Umbria will not risk two seconds. Along with him on the podium, the absolute subchampionship is for the regatist of the CN Puerto Sherry, Carlos Carrasco, who manages to keep the mind cold to win a test and with a quarter on the other achieve his goal and sign the subchampionship, leaving out today his club partner Nicolás Flethes, who goes down to the third final position with two more points. Among the girls the champion is Elena Delgado, regatist Sub 11 of the CN Sevilla that is imposed on the Sub 13 Carla Atenciano of the CDN Punta Umbria, with Julia Cantón of the CM Almería in the third place. Finally in the Satin a Vela class, the RCN pattern of El Puerto de Santa María, Vicente Citation, wins with three wins and one second, in the only test that let escape at the hands of José María Alarcón of the CV Bahia de Cadiz, second with two more points after using the rosco and two seconds. Complete the Rafael Ruiz podium of the same club, which is worth a third, a second and a fourth and discard a fifth as a worse result. At the door of the winner's drawer are Luis Alfonso Pérez Nogués del CV Bahia de Cadiz and Ramón Calero del RCN de El Puerto de Santa María that signs the top5. The champions of categories A2 and B are Santiago Carmona of the CV Bahia de Cadiz and José María Alarcón Conradi, of the CN Sevilla.

From tomorrow Thursday, the cruises will compete for four days; two to meet the winner of the 27th Juan de La Cosa and until Sunday day 22 to discover the winner of the coveted cruise gold catavino. The young Maria Castillo ties the first place in the Optimist Sub 16 class, where the regatist of the CDN Punta Umbria adds two new so many and one second. Changes also in ILCA 7 where the new leader is Alfonso Moreno del CR Madrid. With half a century behind her, the classic organized by the Royal Nautical Club the Port of Santa María, celebrated the first day in the Gaditana Bay

First day of the 50th edition of the Nautical Week of El Puerto de Santa María with the first tests for the Optimist classes, ILCA and 420, in the bay of Cadiz... one of the best regatta fields in Europe, which faithful to its prestige offered a panorama with winds of 10 to 12 knots, with splendid sea conditions.

In the Optimist Sub 16 class, the first lead is for the young Maria Castillo de Punta Umbria, who improved a third with two consecutive wins to turn the score and stand in front of the first winner of the week, the Malagasy Roberto Aguilar. In the category Sub 13, two points give the first top to Sergio Mancera of the CDN Punta Umbria, winner of a test with a second and a fourth in the other two, followed by the regatists of the CN Puerto Sherry Nicolás Flethes with another in their own, and Carlos Carrasco, second and third, respectively, with two and four points away with the provisional leader.

Among the youngest, category Sub 11, surprises the first male, the Portuguese Vicente Costa, which is located only one point from Carrasco, while among the girls stand out two; the young Elena Delgado of the CN Sevilla for being first in its category, and the regatist of the CN El Trocadero, Lia Garrote, who gave the surprise of the day by imposing on its fleet in the third test.
No option has given Susana Ridao and Elena Sofía Camacho in 420, class in which the CN couple Puerto Sherry wins the three tests and positions itself provisional leader, with four and seven points of rent on the crews of the same club formed by Claudia Pavón and Carmen Rodríguez (2,2.3) and the Sub 17 Patricia Bañez and Paloma Flethes (4,4.2), second and third, respectively. The girls send and rejoin the fourth place to the first male crew, composed of Josete Ruiz and Vicente Hernández of the RCN of El Puerto de Santa María.

Among the ILCA 4 is the team of the Club Polideportivo Cadiz, among which is dismarked Santiago Grosso, first after winning two tests and scoring a second on the other, results that leave him in very good position in the face of the second day, with eight and nine points less than his club partner Sol López and the regatist of the CN Sevilla Eduardo Orihuela, second and third separated by one point.

The highest equality also at the doors of this first podium, with Luis Castañeda and Marta Franco, also from the Gaditano club, tied in the fourth and fifth place, respectively. None of them was the protagonist of the other time of the day, which went to the hands of the regatist of the CN Sevilla, Enrique Muñoz, to whom one off-line in the third test places him eighth in wait for the discard that will arrive with the fourth test.
