The Rechtación de Pontevedra has turned with the Snipe South European Championship, from Thursday to Sunday in the Ria de Vigo creating the Rechtación Cup for this competition. The competition of wooden snipes is one of the activities that is part of the European South and becomes the colophone to the 80 anniversary of the creation of the fleet of Snipes of the Real Nautical Club of Vigo, 136 in the world and the first in Spain.

The Royal Nautical Club of Vigo, the organizer of these light sailing events, found in the provincial administration that Carmela Silva is the perfect partner to celebrate a historic milestone, since the Snipe, arrived in Vigo in 1934, was the first ship considered strategic to unify the promotion, expansion and development of the candle throughout the country.
