In addition to giving up the Open Wing Foil Trophy and proclaiming in Gran Canaria the champion and the champion of Spain and Open of the Canary Islands in the types of kiteboarding mentioned above, the 7Up Air Battle Man awards will also be given to the 3 most complete and best-standing Riders in most of the disciplines in which they participate.

The Canary Islands become the national headquarters of the Kiteboarding Spanish Championship, as well as promoting the Wing Foil, a new sports modality that is causing great global feeling. During the Gran Canaria Air Battle Kite & Wing Foil Festival that will be held from 6 to 8 August on the beach of El Burrero, in the municipal term of Ingenio (Gran Canaria), will take place the Spanish Championship and Open Canaries of Kiteboarding in the modalities of Big Air, Waves and Strapless Freestyle.

This is the third edition of the Gran Canaria Air Battle, a festival of kitesurf and wing fire where we promote sports tourism through the practice of water sports with comet, says the president of the sports club CanaKite Experiences, Manuel Martínez, who organizes the meeting together with the Nautico Club El Burrero, sponsored by the area of Tourism and Sports of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, the Island Institute of Sports and Promotur. The event also has the collaboration of the City of Ingenio and the support of private collaborators such as Ahembo, Volkswagen or Spar Gran Canaria, among others.

The championship will be held in accordance with the regulations of the class of Kiteboarding Expression of the Spanish Federation of Sailing. The schedule for the competition will be from 10: 00 to 17: 00, which may vary according to weather conditions. The award is scheduled for next Sunday, August 8, at 17: 00.
