The Catalan Nuria Vilarubla has today achieved Olympic diploma in Tokyo 2020 by obtaining the eighth place in the final of female slalon C1, whose test is part of the Olympic program for the first time in history.
For its part the Spanish-Leoness David Llorente, lamented by a 50-second penalty, has now ended in the tenth position at the end of the slalon in K1 in the JJOO 2020 at the close of this specialty.

Spanish pyragüism today opened its performance in the Games with the semifinal classification of the Olympic champion Maialen Chourraut in K1 and that of the three-time Olympic diploma Ander Elosegi in C1, after signing both rounds in which they have been very solid in the start of the slalon tests, held in the Kasai channel of Tokyo, with no audience in the steps and with high temperatures.
The Olympic bimedalist accredited a first fall that ended in sixth place with a time of 108.97 seconds, after fitting 2 seconds of penalty for a touch at door 24, while in the second he finished fifth, in a clean, unsanctioned descent with a mark of 105.13 seconds. The 24 palists were going to the semifinal with better time.
The triple Olympic diploma finished eighth in its first fall, with 4 seconds of penalty for touches on doors 8 and 23, which added a time of 103.78 seconds, and in the second finished fourth, without penalty, with 101.51. The 15 best times of each participant were reached in the semifinal.
Tomorrow Monday the second day of the slalon competition is disputed with the only Spanish performance of Elosegi, which will fight the semi-final of C1 at 14: 24 hours, and if it is able to enter among the 10 best runs it will pallet the Olympic final, which will begin from 5: 45 hours.
