With the threat that a strong tropical depression from becoming typhoon during the first days of the week, the monitoring of forecasts by Riccardo Ravagnan, a meteorologist of the RFEV, has been constant and thorough
Tomorrow Sunday will start in the bay of Enoshima the Olympic sailing competition, which will be premiered with the classes RS: X male and female, Laser Standard and Laser Radial, with medium winds during the first day of competition that will increase by the passage of the tropical storm without this reaching the degree of typhoon.
At the expense of what weather models are marking, the predictions for tomorrow Sunday are from the north-east winds of medium intensity, between 10-15 knots. These conditions will mark the entry into the scene of the first Olympic sailing classes, in which the Spaniards Blanca Manchón, Cristina Pujol, Ángel Granda and Joel Rodríguez sail.
With the bay divided into six race fields, the first tests will be the ones of Enoshima and Kamakura, the ones closest to the island of Enoshima, Olympic Sailing Subheadquarters.
At 12: 00 h (05: 00 h in Spain) the sailing curtain will open in Tokyo 2020, with the departure of the first race for the Laser Radial, where the Catalan Cristina Pujol will compete, in the Kamakura race field, and for the male RS: X, with the participation of the canary Angel Granda, in the Enoshima race field.
With an estimated average regatta time of 20-25 minutes for the RS: X and three scheduled tests, and 50 minutes for the Laser with two poster regatas, the canary Joel Rodríguez will take the relief at 14: 30 h with the Laser Standard in the Kamakura regatas field; and at 15: 00 h will do the White Manchon with the RS: X female regatas field Enoshima.
