The Kohen of Juan Carlos Estefanía and the Tchin Tchin of José Luis Ribed were noted the Gitana Cup 2021, one of the classic tests of the Real Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club that was developed in the Vizcaina waters of the Abra in two summer days, the first of them with more and better wind, and with the participation of 20 ships in the classes Spirit of Tradition and Cruise.

The crews completed this edition with the third test proposed by the committee with a shortened tour of almost five miles for the Cruises and two miles longer for the Spirit of Tradition after a different day to the previous one, with little wind of the north component after the very good conditions of the first day in a Gitana Cup that served no less than 117 years.

The Kohen 'by Juan Carlos Estefanía, a First 35S5, with its second place on the final tour, first ended among the ships that sailed in the Spirit class of Tradition to be able to defend its leadership of the first day. It was made very complicated by the Gaitero de Juan Valdivia, which was imposed on the second tour and ended in the second square of the general just one point from the winner. Third in this class concluded the Shere-Khan II of Yann Lescan du Plessix, fourth was the Ramper of Jairo López of Guevara, fifth the Alai of Clotilde Olaran and sixth the Asti IV of José María Olano patronado by Ibon Basañez, a beautiful six meters international that has registered his name as winner in thirteen editions of this historic Gitana Cup.

The Tchin Tchin of José Luis Ribed, also with two first in the two sleeves, is the leader between the cruises, followed three points by the Alpega of Alfonso Churruca and the Maitena of Mikel Emaldi in the third position.
